  1. Yep, great, certainly as a buzz track anyway, love noisy house music!
  2. Very happy to see Slovenia consistently scoring, I'll be pleased to see this repeated in the real thing. BUT... still NOTHING for Latvia?? What is actually wrong with these people??
  3. 2007: Georgia - Visionary Dream 11th 2008: Ukraine - Shady Lady 2nd (this was THE track that turned me into casual watcher to Euro mentalist) 2009: Ukraine - Anti-Crisis Girl 12th (also loved Albania and was lovely to see UK dumped in the top 5 even though I didn't like the song) 2010: Iceland - Je Ne Sais Quai 19th (utter toilet of a year, both in songs and staging) 2011: Sweden - Popular 3rd (a very strong year, fantastic staging, complete opposite to 2010) 2012: Sweden - Euphoria 1st (obviously, but a solid 2nd place for La La Love) 2013: Norway - I Feed You My Love 4th (I was a little mad for Germany and San Marino also) 2014: UK - Children Of The Universe 17th (let's not go there again though) 2015: Slovenia - Here For You ?? My endorsement is as much a kiss of death as it is am indication to success. I hope my love for Slovenia hasn't tainted their chances, it's such a fantastic song.
  4. Early lead for Italy and nothing for Latvia? Shocking taste!
  5. My lecturer from Uni is on here - interesting stuff although of course I'll be watching in bitesize chunks.
  6. Loreen..... obviously.
  7. So, Loreen chose to wear her Obese Uncles waistcoat and pour chip-fat over her hair. Loreen is a true artist and I'm sure there is something symbolic with the performance, but it didn't work for me. I also enjoyed Bobbysocks. Johnny Logan is a pompous twat. Petra is a legend. They are my verdicts for tonight.
  8. Loreen "Euphoria" will defo make a re-appearance!
  9. Georgia is much fancied each way bet, agreed. Those odds are a little silly. Germany is a bit too "so-so" to make any inroads on the night. I think Australia won't do as well as the odds suggest, likewise with Finland. Sweden are destroying this now. I think Estonia will come a solid second though.
  10. Far too early to predict order of where they finish, but I think the following will qualify: Semi 1:* Belgium Estonia Greece Macedonia Belarus Denmark Georgia Romania Russia Hungary (although they really shouldn't!) Semi 2: Lithuania Malta Norway Azerbaijan Iceland Israel Latvia Poland Slovenia Sweden *It pains me that I don't think Serbia will qualify, Semi 1 seems a much more difficult one to predict yet I think it's the poorer semi of the two).
  11. It's such as well-crafted pop track, it deserves a top three placing IMO. It reminds me of The Noisettes.
  12. Austria are firmly back to what they usually send then - a load of old tosh!

2012 was amazing. And 2015 amplifies this fact. Even Val's debut was an enjoyable headf***.

    2014: 24 2015: 12 I knew this year was bad, Jesus...
  15. If every country were to go back to singing in their native language, I wonder how our future results would change?
  16. I feel like we have been treated to the demo version and BBC are busy getting someone to transform into something which sounds like it costed more then 50p to produce.
  17. The more I hear it, the more I think it will do well (the more I hear it, the more deluded i get)
  18. A baltic FKA Twigs - I like! I can see the jury loving this...
  19. Put a gun to my head and I'm thinking - although the quality is a universe behind last year - it will probably come around 17th. But... I just can't rule out a high top ten finish entirely. If the staging can gloss over the fact this is a cheap and nastily produced song, it's a very tricky one to predict.
  20. If Latvia can win with that naff piece of cheap shit in 2002 (I know it was a while back)... 90% of me says bottom five, 10% of me says it will slay the Top 10.
  21. The more I play it, the worse it gets. I'm stopping now.
  22. It's massively dividing opinion all over facebook Euro fan groups. Literally no middle. I'm secretly not thinking it will flop... I think it's fate will be sealed with the staging, as is the case with a lot of entries anyway. While Scooch was cheese without the charm, I think this has both.... Or is that just me?
  23. Well... The concept is great, but execution is bloody horrendous. There IS something there though - I didn't like it but it was absolutely in my head when it finished. The staging needs masses of work to sell it... At least I'm not expecting it to do anything which means I'll be happy with a placing above the bottom five.
  24. I've introduced my other half properly to Melodifestivalen and he is HOOKED! Dinah Nah is a big fave in our house, just a little bit trashy and a great hot mess!
  25. It's, of course, top drawer stuff however I'm not connecting much on the first listen but I can hear it's a grower, which is no bad thing.
