Predict: Katy B - "What Love Is Made Of"
Loved Katy B and her first album. For me, this is doing ABSOLUTELY NOTHING for me so it's hard for me to judge considering others are raving about it. Sounds like a small top 20 hit but I'm sure I'll be totally wrong!

Scandipop Top 100 Best Selling Singles 1980-2012
Certainly have to ride the rough with the smooth here, it swings from the sublime (Robyn, Tim Berg) to the hideous (Alda, Doctors). "Dancing On My Own" and "Seek Bromance" are the highlights for me - a real bummer the funky house classic from Stonebridge is a no-show, proof how dire sales were in 2004. Wasn't this the year where 10,000 sales often secured a top ten placing? "Crying At The Discotheque" was a bit of a guilty pleasure for me at the time - 2001 was the year I came out and this outrageously camp anomaly emerged! I subsequently bought it on vinyl... Also I had no idea Jose Gonzalez was Nordic!

The Story of NOW
NOW! 31 is great - aside from a very curious starter - a totally forgettable Wet Wet Wet track followed by iconic classics from Edwyn Collins and Pulp? Maybe Ashley was drunk when he compiled it but anyway it was all about the second disc, a proper run of dancey pop choons - Livin Joy, Jinny and Whigfield (no really!).

Green Room [2013]
OI!!! Nowt wrong with LoveCityGroove! That aside, it's an absolute HOT MESS of a compilation. Looks like they basically got the second disc of every NOW! album from the 90s and stuck it on shuffle!

The Story of NOW
My first NOW! album I bought I was just 8. My last one was NOW! 37 which I got for my 14th birthday and realising there was about 10 tracks I was merely bothered about (it was a rough one!). I then started buying Ministry of Sound comps and thought I was proper cool.... Nowadays the latest NOW! albums looks pretty cool as it's full of dance tunes! Crazy! That aside, what is everyones personal favourite NOW! album? Mine was/is 30.

The Story of NOW
I agree. I believe the real reason why the comps were segregated was due to the explosion of dance compilations in the late 80s clogging up main album chart.

The Story of NOW
My first was NOW! 21.. it was one of the old fashioned "fat" double CD boxes!

Disclosure - Settle
Disclosure are my favourite band! I am obsessed with them and I have not looked forward to an album this much since Basement Jaxx "Remedy" which was released in 1999!!!

Daft Punk 'Random Access Memories'
The jury is still out for me on this. It's an incredibly ambitious album but I also find the whole thing overbaked, self-indulgent and sometimes irritating. I prefer Daft Punk at 3am and banging! There are some proper WOW! bits, but at worse I feel like I'm in an elevator in a 5 star elevator in New York, circa 1979. Maybe after a few more listens the whole album will come together but the fact everyone has a strong reaction to this is surely a good thing!

San Marino 2014
San Marino has a population of 30,000... Val may be the only vocalist who can properly belt it out! I'm still scratching my head on why this didn't qualify!

Green Room [2013]
Defo got no probs with going to Copenhagen again next year - beautiful city, it's peaceful yet charismatic.

Is Kazakhstan the next country to join the EBU?
I say there is more room for new countries to join so I'm defo envisaging a new Ex-USSR state emerging. Also, anything for the usual anti-Eurovision British to say how policital it is while we think about which OAP to send with something irrelevant.

Is Kazakhstan the next country to join the EBU?
Apparently Kazakhstan are negotiating with the EBU (I CANNOT say that abbreviation without doing so in the style of Lynda Woodruff!) to become members and, if they do, may be able to submit an entry in time for 2014. If so, they will become the 11th Ex-USSR state to become members. Apparently they have been negotiating for a few years which has got me thinking... what is the criteria exactly to join the EBU?

Germany 2013
i know,thanks :)

Germany 2013
Although I was here for Eurovision itself, quality wise it doesn't even come close to 2011 and 2012 in my opinion. We watched the jury final and there was a lot of dross (it was sadly the dross that did relatively well!). Bonnie Tyler was terrible in the jury final but even so, the song was rubbish and I predicted 20th on the night anyway. I seriously didn't get Hungary and don't even get me started on Malta, the most toe-curling song of the night!! No idea what happened with Cascada. The mind boggles! I was thinking that there was a chance she would jussst miss out on a top ten placing but missing out on top 20 is just mental! Mind you, did anyone notice she was out of time on the night during the first chorus? Ouch!
-
FINAL / 2013
We were in the centre of Copenhagen last night and the atmosphere was unreal! When Cascada came on we all went mental!... And the less mentioned of that 21st place, the better! Another largely disappointing set of results on my opinion.... And is it only me that isn't a fan of "only teardrops"?

Green Room [2013]
Well people I'm boarding the plane to Copenhagen, I'll be seeing the jury final tonight so I can fill you all in! Still gutted about not getting to see the lovely Val and her lamp but hey ho!

SEMI FINAL II / 2013
Well... a terrible semi made even worse with some terrible qualifers. Made worse by no Lynda Woodruff (where the f*** was she???) and.... NO SAN MARINO!!!!! WHAT????

SEMI FINAL II / 2013
I think the following will go through, although I agree this is a bugger to predict! SEMI FINAL II 02 http://www.eurovision.tv/img/upload/flags/mini/San_Marino.png San Marino: Valentina Monetta - Crisalide (Volá) 03 http://www.eurovision.tv/img/upload/flags/mini/FYR_Macedonia.png Macedonia: Esma & Lozano - Pred da se razdeni 04 http://www.eurovision.tv/img/upload/flags/mini/Azerbaijan.png Azerbaijan: Farid Mammadov - Hold Me 05 http://www.eurovision.tv/img/upload/flags/mini/Finland.png Finland: Krista Siegfrids - Marry Me 06 http://www.eurovision.tv/img/upload/flags/mini/Malta.png Malta: Gianluca - Tomorrow 08 http://www.eurovision.tv/img/upload/flags/mini/Iceland.png Iceland: Eyþór Ingi - Ég á lif 09 http://www.eurovision.tv/img/upload/flags/mini/Greece.png Greece: Koza Mostra & Agathon Iakovidis - Alcohol Is Free 10 http://www.eurovision.tv/img/upload/flags/mini/Israel.png Israel: Moran Mazor - Rak bishvilo 13 http://www.eurovision.tv/img/upload/flags/mini/Norway.png Norway: Margaret Berger - I Feed You My Love 15 http://www.eurovision.tv/img/upload/flags/mini/Georgia.png Georgia: Nodi & Sophie - Waterfall RÄDDA SCHLAGERN! I only really care about San Marino and Norway - this semi is a proper rough one. If Armenia qualify, I'll be well annoyed (though I think they will jussst miss). Norway is a given and I think it won't just win this semi, it'll ABSOLUTELY PISS IT! San Marino I'm nicely confident about qualifying however I'm gonna be a bit of a wreck when the qualifiers are announced!
-
SEMI FINAL I / 2013
I only think Lithuania qualified because there was no other song like it. There were plenty of dance tracks and ballads, but no guitar/rock pop songs A default qualifier perhaps? Anyway to get to the point - utterly dreadful song.
-
Who did you vote for
Slovenia. 3 times. I know...
-
SEMI FINAL I / 2013
Well... even though I prepared myself for Slovenia, I'm still bloody gutted! Belarus and Ireland are a relief, will save the final from being a ballad bore-fest. Belgium were jussst about convincing enough. And... sorry, The Netherlands... really, really, really dislike it!
-
SEMI FINAL I / 2013
Well I absolutely LOVED Slovenia! Even better live and my hopes of them qualifying have increased.... slightly. Netherlands, seriously, I'm not getting one bit! Why this is contender to win is beyond me!
-
SEMI FINAL I / 2013
Slovenia on RE-DIAL!
-
SEMI FINAL I / 2013
These are the ones I want to qualify. I'm rooting for Slovenia all the way and I'm preparing myself for immense disappointment when it crashes out of the final however I think there are only a 2 or 3 dead cert qualifiers and non qualifiers so it shall be very, very interesting... SEMI FINAL I 03 http://www.eurovision.tv/img/upload/flags/mini/Slovenia.png Slovenia: Hannah - Straight Into Love 05 http://www.eurovision.tv/img/upload/flags/mini/Denmark.png Denmark: Emmelie de Forest - Only Teardrops 07 http://www.eurovision.tv/img/upload/flags/mini/Ukraine.png Ukraine: Zlata Ognevich - Gravity 09 http://www.eurovision.tv/img/upload/flags/mini/Montenegro.png Montenegro: Who See, Nina Žižić - Igranka 10 http://www.eurovision.tv/img/upload/flags/mini/Lithuania.png Lithuania: Andrius Pojavis - Something 11 http://www.eurovision.tv/img/upload/flags/mini/Belarus.png Belarus: Alyona Lanskaya - Solayoh 12 http://www.eurovision.tv/img/upload/flags/mini/Moldova.png Moldova: Aliona Moon - O mie 13 http://www.eurovision.tv/img/upload/flags/mini/Ireland.png Ireland: Ryan Dolan - Only Love Survivesi 15 http://www.eurovision.tv/img/upload/flags/mini/Belgium.png Belgium: Roberto Bellarosa - Love Kills 16 http://www.eurovision.tv/img/upload/flags/mini/Serbia.png Serbia: Moje 3 - Ljubav je svuda
