I say there is more room for new countries to join so I'm defo envisaging a new Ex-USSR state emerging. Also, anything for the usual anti-Eurovision British to say how policital it is while we think about which OAP to send with something irrelevant.

Apparently Kazakhstan are negotiating with the EBU (I CANNOT say that abbreviation without doing so in the style of Lynda Woodruff!) to become members and, if they do, may be able to submit an entry in time for 2014. If so, they will become the 11th Ex-USSR state to become members. Apparently they have been negotiating for a few years which has got me thinking... what is the criteria exactly to join the EBU?

Although I was here for Eurovision itself, quality wise it doesn't even come close to 2011 and 2012 in my opinion. We watched the jury final and there was a lot of dross (it was sadly the dross that did relatively well!). Bonnie Tyler was terrible in the jury final but even so, the song was rubbish and I predicted 20th on the night anyway. I seriously didn't get Hungary and don't even get me started on Malta, the most toe-curling song of the night!! No idea what happened with Cascada. The mind boggles! I was thinking that there was a chance she would jussst miss out on a top ten placing but missing out on top 20 is just mental! Mind you, did anyone notice she was out of time on the night during the first chorus? Ouch!

We were in the centre of Copenhagen last night and the atmosphere was unreal! When Cascada came on we all went mental!... And the less mentioned of that 21st place, the better! Another largely disappointing set of results on my opinion.... And is it only me that isn't a fan of "only teardrops"?

Well people I'm boarding the plane to Copenhagen, I'll be seeing the jury final tonight so I can fill you all in! Still gutted about not getting to see the lovely Val and her lamp but hey ho!

Well... a terrible semi made even worse with some terrible qualifers. Made worse by no Lynda Woodruff (where the f*** was she???) and.... NO SAN MARINO!!!!! WHAT????

San Marino I'm nicely confident about qualifying however I'm gonna be a bit of a wreck when the qualifiers are announced!

I only think Lithuania qualified because there was no other song like it. There were plenty of dance tracks and ballads, but no guitar/rock pop songs A default qualifier perhaps? Anyway to get to the point - utterly dreadful song.

Slovenia. 3 times. I know...

Well... even though I prepared myself for Slovenia, I'm still bloody gutted! Belarus and Ireland are a relief, will save the final from being a ballad bore-fest. Belgium were jussst about convincing enough. And... sorry, The Netherlands... really, really, really dislike it!

Well I absolutely LOVED Slovenia! Even better live and my hopes of them qualifying have increased.... slightly. Netherlands, seriously, I'm not getting one bit! Why this is contender to win is beyond me!

Anyone see Josh Dubovie, or sorry, Josh James. Did the experience of Eurovision haunt him so badly he had to change his name? To be fair, it is possibly the worse ever UK entry. Anyway to get to the point, he looked a bit hot!

Oh my god Slovenia have been saved!!

Been educating my mate with past Eurovision winners and while he can understand previous winners, he struggles to comprehend Latvia's victory in 2002. It is indeed bloody terrible! Like an even shitter "She Bangs".

MoR country-style songs are perhaps as far attached to what I like as you get possibly get so it's hard to critique this. Frankly, if that utter bland tosh from 2011 can win, this indeed could do very, very well. Put a gun to my head though, I'm predicting 14th place on the night.

The stage is bloody brilliant! And to think I'll be seeing it in the flesh! OOOH!

Still nothing for Slovenia... oh no. No idea why Bulgaria is considered a contender to qualify - it's bloody terrible!
