Been educating my mate with past Eurovision winners and while he can understand previous winners, he struggles to comprehend Latvia's victory in 2002. It is indeed bloody terrible! Like an even shitter "She Bangs".

MoR country-style songs are perhaps as far attached to what I like as you get possibly get so it's hard to critique this. Frankly, if that utter bland tosh from 2011 can win, this indeed could do very, very well. Put a gun to my head though, I'm predicting 14th place on the night.

Still nothing for Slovenia... oh no. No idea why Bulgaria is considered a contender to qualify - it's bloody terrible!

I'm not ruling out a top ten placing for this... though a lot rests on the performance. He'll need to tear the arse out of it on the night!

Of all the entries, I think this is the hardest to predict. It could literally end up anywhere!

They speak English very well there (so much so, they are considering making English an official second language!) so I'm not gonna worry, now I know trains run through the night between Malmo and Copenhagen! I'm there between Fri and Sun (though it's the Friday Jury Final we're going to... I was left with 2 single tix in the gods!)

Do people really think San Marino won't qualify? I think it's this years wild card... I wouldn't even rule out a top five finish on the final night!

I really really hope Slovenia qualify. Sandwiched between 2 very naff ballads will help. I just wanna see her do it live when I'm in Malmo!... Anyway I'll put my votes forward shortly, semi 2 will be tricky given the amount of tosh!

SF2 Azerbaijan Bulgaria Finland Iceland Latvia FYR Macedonia Malta San Marino ------------ Albania Armenia Georgia Greece Hungary Israel Norway Romania Switzerland Very hard to choose, might get this completely wrong, most of the entries merge into a big messy meh so could go many ways on the night. I think Iceland and Romania will battle it out for the 10th place.

Not pandering to the gay demograph at all. Seriously, if this doesn't qualify I'll be livid!... But I'm confident enough it will.

A bit annoyed all my faves are in Semi 1, really want Slovenia to get through but it will struggle with such competition. Semi 2 on the other hand is terrible, there is only Noway which is any good (I'm not really into ballads as you probably gather!)

The first entry I heard was Denmark and my instant reaction was "winner" (even tough I seriously dislike the song), seeing it's almost always the firm fave on youtube and tight odds, I'm sticking to my guns. Worth putting a tenner on and getting £40ish back anyway. Might put a fiver on Ukraine and Germany on just for kicks (would love a Germany win and I don't think it's entirely unlikely, even though their odds are suggesting otherwise).
