  1. Well I was referring to their jury voters...
  2. Considering Italy were the ONLY country not to award points to Sweden, I think it was a tactful movement to prevent Sweden winning as they considered themselves to be favourites.... Only to find they didn't even manage a third of the pointage Sweden gathered! Seeing this at No. 1 in the UK is frankly unbelievable!

Me and 2 other fanboys are here voting... 2 have picked Sweden, 1 has picked Cyprus. So I have dialled respectively. I can't handle a nothing but a Sweden victory. The only country I can jusssssst about tolerate winning over is Spain.

Song No. 17 The shortest 3 minutes of my life.
  5. I've put a tenner on Serbia about a month ago. It's odds were very appealing... would get about £120/£140 (I think) if they win... which will soften the blow if Sweden lose out... and that is a MASSIVE if can I add (i.e. I doubt it will happen!). I retract what I said about Serbia before, must've been having an off day!
  6. OK, here is mine Pretty solid winner, with or without plastic snowflake lodged in throat: 1 Sweden I think the following 3 will be battling it out for the 2nd place, so I reckon pretty tight): 2 Italy (it's very cool and will appeal to the snootier side of jury voters, will do well with both jury and voters) 3 Romania (not much of a fan, but these sort of breezy songs always do well, I can see the broad appeal this has) 4 Serbia Further down the points scale, in the low 100s 5 Azerbaijan (will do better than others think) 6 Spain (the song is a bit dated, but her knock-out vocals will ensure a decent enough result) 7 Russia (hoping the jury will have voted little enough to knock this out of the top 5) 8 Cyprus (optimistic perhaps, but I think this will be a VERY big hit with televoters!) 9 Germany (there's always one MOR yawnfest that does well, but I could easily swap this with Denmark's predicted position) 10 Greece (they always do well don't they?) Very tight scores from here until 18, I reckon 11 Ukraine (I actually really like this in a OTT vocal sort of way, I think this has broad appeal) 12 Estonia 13 Iceland 14 Turkey 15 Denmark 16 UK (jury might be kind, but I don't think this will register with televoters one jot) 17 Ireland (see UK, but vice-versar) 18 Norway (sadly I think this will tank, but the votes I feel will be VERY tight mid-table and I think Tooji will come worse off) And the rest 19 Albania 20 Moldova 21 Bosnia + Herzegovina 22 Malta 23 France 24 Hungary 25 Macedonia 26 Lithuania I'm sure I'll be way out with a lot of these, but it's part of the fun!
  7. She'll walk it... Though I wonder if they decide to keep the snow for tonight? The fact that odds are, at very best, remain at 5/4 are self-evident she's a clear winner.... Norway 09 odds weren't even as low as this on the day??
  8. OK not a hoax then... it is a bit of a toe-curler, but I think the whole thing needs to be put into perspective. This is not her missing a note due to vocal ability, she will be absolutely fine! Would much rather this then her sing the entire thing mediocre. I'm confident the first prize is still in Loreens hands!
  9. If you're a jury member, you have to be a bit of a c**t to knock off points for something that is COMPLETELY out of control. There is 8-ish second footage of the clip where she cough, but the whole thing looks a little "hoaxy". I still say she's a clear winner come Saturday night!
  10. Mine, in chronological... Turn It Into Love Hand On Your Heart Never Too Late Enjoy Yourself Better The Devil You Know Step Back In Time What Do I Have To Do? Shocked (DNA Mix) Finer Feelings Confide In Me Where Is The Feeling? (Video Mix) Automatic Love (Acoustic Mix) Did It Again Breathe Drunk Light Years In Your Eyes Love At First Sight Come Into My World (Fischerspooner Mix) Slow (Chemical Brothers Mix) I Believe In You In My Arms The One (Freemasons Mix) All The Lovers Cupid Boy
  11. "Shocked" is indeed a track. The piano, the rap, the hip-house drum kicks.... sooooo 1991... sooooo good!
  12. I find it VERY hard to believe "Kids" is a fan favourite. Agreed, this is one of the poorest compilations I've seen. Defo NOT buying it!
  13. OK! OK! It's a repeat but for the benefit of those that haven't seen it (and for those that have seen it but want to watch it again like me!), this is proper decent tele. It's basically the story of Europes political history, through Eurovision. It lays it on a little thick maybe, but it's well worth watching (apologies for those that don't have More4).

    AGREED! :D

A trciky one. Semi 1 was consistently "ok" (apart from Cyprus... a blindin' track! Very HedKandi circa 2005) and even San Marino was immense fun. Semi 2, while a lot of dirge, had more highlights for me hence why I prefer 2. Also, this might be just me, but Semi 1 from a TV watcher point of view felt a little "unofficial" when watching. It didn't seem as slick as Semi 2.... something I cant place my finger on.
  16. I voted for Sweden (a redundant vote sort-of... but if we all thought that...) and Ukraine. Ukraine is an odd one. The song, fundamentally, is dire... but the vocals and trumpets are laid on so thick, it ends up being just a little bit wonderful! Not sure if I'm missing a gene, but The Netherlands' song was and is shite. MOR folk song with toe-curling vocal doesn't cut it for me,
  17. My 4 faves are in the final so I'm happy....... VERY shocked at Slovenia, not that I'm into power ballads, but I thought this would do well in the FINAL! OOOPS!
  18. I put a tenner on Italy. Not that I think it will win, but if it does, the £80 return will soften the blow after Sweden limps in 2nd place. I also put a few quid in Serbia, but I regret it now coz I think it has no chance! Just decent odds.
  19. Agreed, but I wouldn't object Lithuania either... it means one less horrendous song going through!
  20. 01. Serbia: Željko Joksimović - Nije Ljubav Stvar 02. Macedonia: Kaliopi - Crno I Belo 03. The Netherlands: Joan Franka - You and Me 04. Malta: Kurt Calleja - This Is The Night 05. Belarus: Litesound - We Are The Heroes 06. Portugal: Filipa Sousa - Vida Minha 07. Ukraine: Gaitana - Be My Guest 08. Bulgaria: Sofi Marinova - Love Unlimited 09. Slovenia: Eva Boto - Verjamem 10. Slovakia: Max Jason Mai - Don't Close Your Eyes 16. Norway: Tooji - Stay 17. Bosnia & Herzegovina: Maya Sar - Korake Ti Znam 18. Lithuania: Donny Montell - Love Is Blind I have a horrible, horrible feeling Belarus will qualify... the worse entry this year IMO. Toe-curlingly bad sung by a Chad Kroeger sound-a-like.... Lithuania should go trough instead, but it's a little on the ordinary side.
  21. Sweden are, IMO, a relatively safe winner for this year. I'm cautious to say by a landslide, but there is a decent chance it will too. Italy and Romania will battle it out for the 2nd place. Russia might jussssssst about seal a top 5 position, a fair few jury votes and some televotes who will not be convinced by the whole joke and will keep it well away from the prize. I also think (hope!) Cyprus will do very well on the night, a top 10 placing is not unreasonable. I'm also predicting a surprise flop for Serbia. No particular science, just gut feeling. I also think France will tank on the night, bottom 5 placing is not unlikely.
  22. I would've voted for Cyprus, if the UK could've voted. My second vote would've gone to Hungary, so pleased it went through... defo down to the wire I reckon,
  23. Latvia?? Oh christ...
  24. I predicted 9/10... didn't consider myself an expert. Hungary is a nice surprise. Vocally I thought he was perfectly fine (doesn't look bad either!), I predicted it to qualify by the bare skin of its teeth. The only one I got wrong was Albania (I picked Finland). Both relatively piss poor songs. Albania is 3 minutes of "look at how long I can hold a dodgy note for". I think it was more of a televote that got them through... surely a panal of music "experts" would realise the song was a mess. Oh and one more thing... THANK f*** FOR CYPRUS!!!
  25. What I think will qualify 01. Montenegro: Rambo Amadeus - Euro Neuro 02. Iceland: Gréta Salóme & Jónsi - Never Forget 03. Greece: Eleftheria Eleftheriou - Aphrodisiac 04. Latvia: Anmary - Beautiful Song 05. Albania: Rona Nishliu - Suus 06. Romania: Mandinga - Zaleilah[/b] 07. Switzerland: Sinplus - Unbreakable 08. Belgium: Iris - Would You? 09. Finland: Pernilla Karlsson - När jag blundar 10. Israel: Izabo - Time 11. San Marino: Valentina Monetta - The Social Network Song 12. Cyprus: Ivi Adamou - La La Love 13. Denmark: Soluna Samay - Should've Known Better 14. Russia: Buranovskiye Babushki - Party For Everybody 15. Hungary: Compact Disco - Sound of our Hearts 16. Austria: Trackshittaz - Woki mit deim Popo 17. Moldova: Pasha Parfeny - Lăutar 18. Ireland: Jedward - Waterline I want Ireland to tank and miss out completely, but I think they'll get in by the skin of their teeth. A little mistified by the love for Latvia... It's not a Beautiful Song, it's bloody dire! I hope Hungary will be the surprise qualifier (and I think seeing San Marino qualify would be hideously marvellous, but it ain't gonna happen!
