I can't see how Umbrella can be number 3 + 5 as there is no physical release and they only just reached number 20 on I Tunes late yesterday evening. I know there are other download sites, but I can't see how they can have that much effect.

I see where you are coming from, but "Beat Again" is actually nothing to do with X Factor or Simon Cowell. All the other runners up had the same opportunity, but JLS will be a huge band who will have a string of big hits and number 1 albums because they sing very well together and seem to come up with original material. I took my daughter to see them supporting Lemar at the Albert Hall and they were brilliant even though they only performed 5 songs. I still stick to my prediction of around 130k sales and 2 weeks at the top.

Based on the popularity bars, I reckon JLS will sell 120-130k copies this week. By Tuesday, I think they will be on 35-40k so You won't have to put your head in an oven, Martin ( although the gas isn't poisonous these days)!

Could end up with the same top 3 singles as last week as Man in the Mirror is slowly catching up with Bulletproof. Despite my earlier prediction, I think the best the Arctic Monkeys will do is number 6 or 7.

I think the Arctics will be number 1 by the end of the day. If people download it at the current rate they will have a massive lead on I Tunes by tomorrow evening when their early sales stop counting. Surprised at the way Chipmunk seemed to get to number 6 quickly and has stalled. Will end up number 7 or 8 on Sunday I think.

On the singles front, it looks like Cascada has it in the bag even though they are still 100 copies behind. I predict the top 3 as Cascada number 1 with sales of around 62k, MJ number 2 with sales of around 56k and Bulletproof number 3 with sales of around 54k. Regarding the albums, assuming the information is correct, there seems to be a huge increase in the sales of The Essential Michael Jackson which has gained on La Roux by 5.2k copies. I assume this is the one the record company are making an effort to promote to get Jacko to number 1. La Roux's sales are tailing off and I think it will be very close by Sunday. I predict Essential MJ at number one selling 65k copies, La Roux number 2 selling 64k copies and MJ number 1's at number 3 with sales of 45k.

Have to agree with the above poster. I am sure Cascada would have preferred to have released Evacuate the Dancefloor so it didn't compete with Michael Jackson. My family love MJ's music and have been watching one of his video collections and some of the documentaries. Would have been nice to see an MJ song at number 1, but looks like it won't happen this week. Evacuate the Dancefloor is an excellent pop song and if it makes it, will be a worthy number 1. I do feel sorry for Cascada, especially Natalie, as this may be their only chance to have a number 1, and in some people's eyes it will be thought of as the song which prevented MJ having a posthumous number 1.

I now think it will be very close between Cascada and The Man in the Mirror. Evacuate the Dancefloor is a very catchy tune and I think would be a worthy number one if it makes it. Even if MJ doesn't make number one on the singles chart, its still a brilliant week sales wise for his music, he has the number 1 album, is number 1 in the big 40 and will probably have 3 of the top 4 albums this week plus number 1 or 2 in the singles chart. Lots of younger people are getting the chance to hear some great music they may not have heard before. I think it is very wrong to criticise people for downloading a song they happen to like. Everyone's tastes are different and we should all respect that.

Bulletproof is catching up with The Man in the Mirror and Cascada is catching up both of them. I predict in the next couple of days we will have Cascada at number 1, La Roux at number 2 and MITM at number 3.

I have a funny feeling The Noisettes will just pip Lady GaGa this Sunday by a few hundred units.

I am going to stick my neck out and predict that either Lady GaGa or KOL will top the album chart by Sunday. The reason is that acts with a cult following like PSB sell lots of copies in the first few days with sales tailing off as the week goes on, and I also expect Ronan's sales to fall off dramatically on Friday and Saturday. Lady GaGa clearly has a huge following and I expect her to catch right up on Saturday whereas KOL seem to be selling consistantly.

I think the whole top 6 will be very tight. Pleasantly surprised Taylor Swift is number 3, but I think she will be number 6 on Sunday. My prediction of the top 5 is as follows: 1. Poker Face 2. Noisettes 3. Flo Rida 4. A R Rahman/PCD 5. Beyonce (Halo)

We've already had 6 climbers. TI, Akon, Beyonce, Prodigy, James & Nellie and Metro Station. Therefore only 1 left - Poker Face number 1.

There is only 1 climber left and 1 non mover so we know the top 4. Won't spoil it, but Poker Face must be number 1.

Jeff Buckley's version of Hallelulah may make Top 5, but without a physical release I can't see it getting to number 2. As much as I like Alexandra, it would make my day if she didn't get to number 1 next week. She will inevitably outsell the rest of the Top 40 combined, though.
