iTunes Chart: October 2010
I agree and hope you're right. People are buying CLG for shock value, not because it's a good song. So it should trail off in popularity really quick. It reminds of that dreadful Eamonn song and that woman who did the response back; both are tied with Ja Rule and that David Guetta montrosity from this summer as the worst #1s ever. Shame is not the best thing Robbie ever released, but I hope it gets to #1 to make up for some great material from the last album that should have been released as singles and potentially becoming big hits (e.g., Starstruck).

iTunes Chart: October 2010
I am happy that 60% of the top 10 is British. And next week hopefully higher with Robbie/Gary and Magnetic Man with Katy B. I am loving this dubstep music; so nice to have a new, fresh sound on the UK charts.

For the Five Live EP reference, you forgot Britain's best female vocalist. Please correct it to: George Michael & Queen with Lisa Stansfield.

007 Chart Commentary
Could you please explain how #8 on the radio airplay chart equates to "limited airplay"? Most artists would love to have that kind of "limited airplay." I Got You may not have flopped "badly", but the album didn't even re-enter the top 40; so it was clearly a fan-based single release. There's really no point in promoting a third single.

Artist bashing thread
The biggest selling TV reality show contestant is Carrie Underwood. Simon Cowell predicted it and he was right. Back to bashing: I am shocked whenever someone calls Leona Lewis hot or beautiful. I don't get it as she has such manly features in her face and no personality to distract her bad looks. And her yodelling is so annoying. I am very surprised that I Got You is doing better, but the album is not benefiting at all and continuing to flop big-time. Another awful singer is Jennifer Hudson. I hated her on American Idol and can't stand anything she (over)sings. She ruined And I Am Telling You I'm Not Going. I will never forgive her for that or like anything she sings. She pushes everything and has a very average voice.

Artist bashing thread
I will join the group calling Bleeding Love absolutely horrific. Even worse was her version of Run, where she ruined the amazing Snow Patrol song. In America, you can't go into a shop without hearing Better In Time, also so annoying and overrated. But that Forgive Me has to go down as one of the worst songs ever written, with just awful vocals and cheesy rhythm track; that was a wonderful week when people expected it to be #1 and it barely made the top 5. I'm so glad she's flopping now and she'll soon be completely gone from the world's airwaves. Here are even two worse singers if that's even possible: Avril Lavigne and Michael Buble. Can't stand anything they've ever done. And that Ke$ha person is ranking right up there with them.

Here's another fact for you: 599K are the poor souls who received Echo as a Christmas present. I would have liked to see Echo's sales if it was released now or in the summer. Back to the chart: It looks like we finally have another new artist who will sell (and capture the public's interest) like Duffy. I hope Ellie's album has less filler than Rockferry.

People are tired of Leona's voice, singing style, and songs. I'm sure her few remaining fans will continue to support her, but she needs to attract new fans which she's not doing. I Got You is out now and the album is going downward rather than back to the top 20. Her songs aren't high quality or even remotely distinctive or interesting. I really expected her career to last longer than two years, but she's finished -- unless there's a major shakeup with her direction, which I don't think will happen.

iTunes Chart: February 2010 Pt. II
Why will they waste money with a third single after I Got You flops. There's no buzz surrounding her anymore. Look at the disastrous chart run of the album.

iTunes Chart: February 2010 Pt. II
Hurtful is very ordinary. I recognise that he has a good voice, but this song is average, or perfect for filler on an album. A bit like everything Daniel Merriweather released last year apart from Red. Is Pixie Lott's Gravity a new song or a cover of the Coldplay/Embrace hit? I hope it's a cover.

Agreed -- especially when it's by the worst singer in many years. Her songs even more disgusting and awful than Avril Lavigne's. Does anyone know where a truly talented singer and songwriter, Sia, is in the chart? Has she risen above the 600s?

iTunes Chart: January 2010 (II)
It's on Radio 2's A list, so it's getting airplay. Sounds great on the radio -- much better than the Jay-Z arrangement. I expect a big rise on the Airplay Chart.

iTunes Chart: January 2010
Sadly it looks like Robbie will soon be out of the top 10. But he had a great run with You Know Me -- his best single since Something Beautiful. I liked Rabbit Heart, but hated her cover of Halo on the Live Lounge. I can't stand YGTL. She sings it with no soul, but then how could anyone match Candi Staton. It's so irritating how they felt the need to correct the grammar. Plus isn't this actually a cover of a dance mix, that is, even the original The Source version was a dance mix of a rare Candi Staton track. Florence should have found the original Candi Staton song and done a cover of that.

New Release Schedule (Physical):Monday 21 December
Thank you for preparing the new release schedule and keeping it based on physical, which will always be the preferred format. The list is so informative and it's exciting to see what's forthcoming. Hot Chip is definitely the most anticipated track and album of 2009! I haven't had a chance to check your list lately. It seems like Captain was on the list for all of 2009. Did it ever get released, or were they dropped? Also one tiny typo: Sharleen Spiteri, not Spitero

iTunes Chart: December III
Noel and Liam have a unique singing style -- and there's never a wrong note. Everything Leona sings lately is off pitch (except for those very annoying high notes she feels she must constantly throw in when the overdone choir enters). Her "out" at the end of each phrase was noticeably almost a half step under the pitch ... as if she was trying to re-write the melody to this classic song. There should be laws to prevent people from ruining songs. Oh well, she's history anyway. No hopes of a third album from her.

Can't believe Leona Lewis is in the top 15 with that awful version of Stop Crying Your Heart Out. She was practically a half step flat every time she sang the word "out". Painful. Hopefully Noel Gallagher is wiser than me and won't bother listening to it.
