Predict: Jordin Sparks - Battlefield
It's overproduced and typical American Idol/X Factor fare. Why can't any of the female winners sing something original? I wish it would flop, but it will be overplayed and make the top 5.

This week just keeps getting better. Fire (with its intriguing guitars and vocals) pulls further ahead of BEPs, and We Are The People is almost #11. And New In Town, I'm Not Alone, and Tiny Dancer are holding on pretty strong in the top 20.

Looks like Fire is pulling away from Boom Boom Pow. Hopefully strong physical sales will help it reach #1 on Sunday. I'm still worried about Boom's sales on Sunday because of the Diversity win. If Kasabian can pull off the #1 it would be the most exciting and deserved #1 since Coldplay's Viva La Vida. Fire's ascent to #1 has been thrilling to watch. I hope Empire of the Sun can continue to climb, but top 10 doesn't seem realistic due to the fact that La Roux refuses to leave. It would be an even more glorious day if Agnes, The Gossip, and Kelly Clarkson plummet down the chart ... rapidly.

I guess I'm biased, because I dislike Because of You and MLWSWY so much. I thought she just 'went through the motions' for her performances of MLWSWY on American Idol, Oprah, and Saturday Night Live. It was as though she couldn't wait for the song to finish. Other people told me they were not impressed with her either, and expected much more from an AI winner. It's a bit frustrating because I liked her on season 1 American Idol and really haven't liked anything she's sung except for the song Breakaway.

iTunes Thread || June 2009
I Do Not Hook Up is even worse than MLWSWY, clearly the worst UK #1 since that Ja Rule song Wonderful, or whatever it was called. The person I feel most sorry for is Kelly Clarkson. In performance, she sings these songs with absolutely no emotion. That's not how she performed on American Idol. She did well with soul and blues, and she wanted to record songs like those on the My December album. But since that didn't sell well, they are forcing her to record these Since You Been Gone copycats, which are awful. The magic will never be recreated, and I fear her career will soon be over. Back to iTunes, it's thrilling that Fire is doing so well. Hopefully it will be #1 by noon tomorrow and #1 on Sunday.

Hit 40 UK chart to be scrapped
So that explains why commercial radio has become unlistenable. I figured that Radio 2 did that on weekends, but it sounds so real to me. I really imagine that the presenter is listening to the song. Alan Titchmarsh, Malcolm Laycock, and David Jacobs particularly do this well. (This has got to be the first mention of Malcolm Laycock on buzzjack!)

Capital FM Playlist 2009
I would guess that Just Dance and the awful Kelly Clarkson single will be played all year. Do they ever play those new songs on this list -- except for maybe at 3am? I will be in London this weekend to see if it's improved or the same tired songs over and over. I can't bear to listen online when the superior Radio 1 and 2 are available.

iTunes Chart // Mid-April
No ... I want to be surprised when I go into the thread and see the updates. I don't want to see the positions in the subtitle. Does the subtitle really need to include the positions? Or just include the major risers and leave out the positions. I even try not to look at the subtitle, but that's impossible.

Radio 1 Playlist (22/04/09)
Thrilled that they dropped Poker Face. Perhaps they decided to drop it after her horrible Live Lounge performance. But I'm sure they'll still play it, just as they won't let go of that awful Kelly Clarkson song. Both of those songs have quick burn factors, just like Don't Upset The Rhythm, but I still love that though. They should still be playing Embers and Tonight's Today in my opinion. Those were dropped too quickly.

4 Week Free trial with Music Week
I'm still receiving this and it's now been 6 weeks. I'm not complaining as I enjoy reading the articles and finding the mistakes in the charts and release schedules. But I'm concerned there was fine print I didn't read and pretty soon I'll get a bill for a huge amount of pounds. Anyone know what is happening?

Sunday Chart Predictions
Could Calvin Harris sell over 100,000 this week? I think it's possible given what he sold in 3 days. He will eventually pass both of the gaga songs in the year totals. That will be one of the greatest moments of 2009!

iTunes Chart // April
Her past two weeks at #1 have been more than luck. I call it cheating. The OCC should have disqualified those 29p sales, just as they used to disqualify when physical singles included freebies. I demand the last two weeks be retracted and republished and the official #1 be given to the Noisettes who deserved it fair and square! Maybe it's time for the charts to be based on sales proceeds and not units sold. Great to see Calvin Harris with a gigantic lead! Has there ever been a lead like that? I hope he maintains it for a proper #1 on Sunday.

iTunes Chart // Early April
I saw the performance on American Idol on Wednesday and wasn't impressed. Just an inferior version of a Madonna dance routine. I'd much rather have the Noisettes be #1 on this chart and the official chart.
