Lady Gaga. I'm not too sure about Kelly Clarkson. Hopefully she could be big in 09 too. I think Britney's will carry on till 09 as well as quite a few other artists who released in late 08.

Her Greatest Hits album sold 115k in it's first week and peaked at #2.

Sorry to say but I think you lot are over-estimating Britney. I have a gut feeling that she'll end up either at the lower half of the top 10 or Top 15 with her new album.

I hope not. :( I really don't want her to miss the top 10. I went over to another UK music forum and they all seem to be predicting that Britney will be #3 ( and take that #1 of course). I hope that they are not being too optimistic. :lol: ;)

That's very worrying considering that the CD wasn't in stock in many retailers aswell.

Eh, now Im a bit worried. Do you think it would even make the top 10? I'm hoping it at least sells over 50k. But it's nice to see Womanizer still hanging on on iTunes.

I'm relieved about Britney's album chart position and I didn't expect it to be that high too. Im not too worried about Womanizer falling down to #3, just as long as it has decent sales of course.

I really wished she wouldnt have performed now. She lip synced in France, nobody cared, she did the same in Germany, nobody cared. Now she did the same thing in the UK and she's being torn to shreds. She really shouldn't have come to the UK, she should have gone straight back to LA. But oh well, hope she proves herself when she performs in a couple of days in America.

Eh, good for Britney. I was a little scared the performance would kill Womanizer. I hope this surge in sales would rub off on her album sales? How do you think Circus will do?

Oh, there is no doubt TT will outsell her. But top 5 would be fine by me. Blackout sold 42k with no promotion other than the single, so I am feeling a bit confident that she would sell more I guess. Could be wrong, but we'll see. I'll be really pleased with 60k. Hopefully that would be enough to get her into the top 5. But like I said, it's nice to see Womanizer moving back up! I thought after the performance it would be doomed. :lol:

Well, I liked that she put more energy into this, and she has clearly improved since the last two performance. So good on her. The lip syncing however was a bit tacky and un-necessary considering that she wasn't really dancing, and that really seems to be the general consensus about this performance. Plus it really did lack the theatrics of the Star Academy performance, so this X Factor performance just ended up being her walking about the stage that's it. It wasn't embarrassing like the VMA's, but it wasn't interesting. But anyway, I'm sure she'll work on that. Can't wait to see her sales this week for her new album! Nice to see Womanizer shoot up to #3. :D
