It means there has been an official update of the sales figure in the last 4 weeks. So the estimate should be pretty close to the actual figure.

I don't have any recent figures for American Life. One of the Madonna fans will know.

I imagine it will only take until the end of September. One chart tomorrrow, then 4 in September should see Abba going into 3rd place.

They will need OCC permission to play Hit40 UK as well. I think it could be because of all these album tracks without videos that are creeping into the bottom end of the Top 40. Most of these won't chart in Hit40 UK. It will mean though that they are playing a lot of old airplay hits that are no longer in the official Top 40.
  7. Sounds good to me. There's another one at the end of May, but most of Scotland don't get that one. :(
  8. That's them complete now. I'll have a closer look at the full chart once you get it all edited

Do Chartshow TV really research their own charts ? That costs money. I always thought that they made them up in the office.

HMV had Alphabeat in Dundee last week. They are still stocking the Top 20, but you will struggle to find physical copies of anything below that unless it's among the main new releases.
  18. With the albums combined she should easily beat Blunty. What does AJ have in his blog on a normal week ?

I think Take That decided to give the box the clip in order to promote their live DVD. I think more artists should send a clip to the music channels when they release a live DVD.
  20. She has had a lot more exposure in Scotland and is constantly played on local radio. This is her 5th week at Number 1 in Scotland. The rest of the UK seemed to prefer Kate Nash when their albums were released last summer, but things now seem to be changing.

It will really have to have general appeal if it's gonna be a hit. Remember 200,000 dance fans will probably have it already as it's on Clubland 12.

Cover versions are cheap & easy to produce. They don't take long in the studio.

She'll be triple platinum by the end of next week, as the shops try and restock as quickly as they can.

The novelty will wear off after a few weeks. At least it's there if the new Sunday presenters make a complete mess of it. I wonder what they are paying OCC for the rights. Commercial broadcasters don't normally get the rights to the official chart.

Not yet. Is it on Magic ?
