Love this - and probably the best chance Ireland had of qualifying from a televote only Semi Final.

Loving Klara's song (as would be expected) but Erik is in a very strong second for me. Hopefully they're the two direct qualifiers tomorrow.

Obviously it all comes down to the choice of song but there's definitely an audience for melodic country-pop and they definitely seem capable of a strong vocal performance which could do well in a way that runs up a high score with juries and a middling public vote in that way that The Netherlands/Portugal seem to have worked out how to do successfully (think: Douwe Bob, OG3NE, S10, MARO, iolanda).

The right three went through, was worried that Maja would be paid dust in favour of Albin but glad to see it through to "I can't believe it's not Andra Chansen"

I'm a cautious believer in some of the hype for this one - will definitely stand out whatever's in the mix in Basel, has potential televote and jury appeal and seems like Red Sebastian has a clear vision for the stage performance that the delegation can spend now until May refining.

Don't know what's up with the sound tech but so many of them have sounded completely off with the vocals. The best overall package is probably "Uh nana" unless Lachispa sorts out her performance.

Going with BBC on the TV and NBC via YouTube on the laptop to start off with and then doomscrolling through twitter about every two hours after I hit the sack (damn job!)
