Disappointed for Wiktoria and I'm surprised that Theoz didn't have it in him to go DTF in this heat but in a way going to AC is a good way to build up a big hit on streaming so it'll work out better for him in the long run. I'd like to think the Swedes will get their game face on come the final and leave Maria Sur but maybe that narrative really is catnip to televoters even in Sweden?

Babe there BETTER have been a video!

My two cents worth: Prediction: Estonia - Alika 'Bridges' Romania - Theodor Andrei 'D.G.T (Off and On)' Denmark - Reiley 'Breaking My Heart' Latvia - Sudden Lights 'Aija' Croatia - Harmonija Dissonance 'Nevera' Italy - Marco Mengoni 'Due Vite' Malta - Brooke 'Checkmate' Want: Estonia - Sissi 'Lighthouse' Romania - Aledaida 'Bla Bla Bla' Denmark - EYJAA 'I Was Gonna Marry Him' Latvia - lol who cares Croatia - Harmonija Dissonance 'Nevera' Italy - Marco Mengoni 'Due Vite' Malta - The Busker 'Dance (Our Own Party)' - as if this isn't rigged for Brooke

This weekend a whopping seven national selection shows* are picking their entries for Liverpool 2023, which will more or less double the number of confirmed entries by Sunday morning. *okay Sanremo is more sort of its own unique thing and MESC is technically just picking the artist that will DNQ with a Melfest reject in May but still. So the following countries are picking their song this weekend - what do we predict? what would be the ideal haul from this year's Super Saturday? Estonia Romania Denmark Latvia Croatia Italy Malta

Managing to get my first one of the year in before the madness of Super Saturday tomorrow Love it 01 Czech Republic: Vesna - My Sister's Crown 02 Norway: Alessandra - Queen of Kings Strong Showings 03 Slovenia: Joker Out - Carpe Diem 04 Belgium: Gustaph - Because of You 05 Spain: Blanca Paloma - Eaea Not too fussed 06 Albania: Albina & Familja Kelmendi - Duje 07 Ukraine: TVORCHI - Heart of Steel Been there, done that, ripped my T-Shirt 08 Ireland: Wild Youth - We Are One

Definitely the most competitive entry of the eight confirmed so far - will be interesting to see how this goes!

Blanca Paloma gets the trophy, recieving 169 points out of a possible maximum of 176.

Blanca Paloma has gone big in the hall - I think she’s taking this!

Strong performance and a smart choice for a televote only semi which, in retrospect, I could see Honestly getting lost in. I do wonder what the vocals will sound like in Liverpool without autotune though?

Alessandra and Atle are quite some distance in the lead with Ulrikke in a distant third.

Alessandra seems to be running away with the jury vote!

Tone and Loulou served! Twinkboy wasn't it and Elov & Benny feel like they might be dangerous!

Final being streamed live on YouTube here! GCODE6kFTY4

Ten years ago this would have been a pretty competitive entry but I think this is very likely to be outclassed in the first semi.

Fusa Nocta, Agoney, Alice Wonder and Megara made it through - definitely the four best entries out of these nine. Agoney looks to be in a strong position to take it following that televise performance.

Watching the semi final and I think Mi Familia might be the one (aside from the vocals eek)

Will humbly take my punishment of a one month ban - work commitment just got completely swamped this week/end.

Votes will have to be in late tomorrow I'm afraid but they will be in!

Maria really Janet Leon-ed herself from that performance. Looks like it'll be between Ulrikke, Alessandra and Jone for the win next week.

I think Vesna is the one to beat in this selection: @1619345942481895425

Screw y'all with something hard and sandpapery (tbh I thought this semi didn't have enough pophoetry in the ranks for my liking so can't say I'm surprised)

Robin and Lxandra don't quite measure up to the fabulousness of dark hypersexual queer Finnish electropop for me but both are good additions to the lineup. 42Lw_xtFnOk iLXwwZBet8A

That semi draw has left me feeling very attacked!

Final lineup for the final tomorrow night - all of these are on streaming. Ameerah - The Carnival Chérine - ca m'ennuie pas Gala Dragot - t'inquiete Gustaph - Because Of You Hunter Falls - Ooh La La Loredana - You Lift Me Up The Starlings - Rollercoaster Cherine is definitely the fan fave but I'm not sold on the Flemish public voting for a song in French enough to overcome the name power The Starlings will have over the others.

Benjamin's song is pure filth - love it! 1KvCeVU3vQ0
