LexC

Georgia my god, those vocals were giving Gemini.

I'm about ten years too old to get Ferto I think

Hey y'all Understandably, the pre-contest action on the forum has been a lot more lowkey this year as we're well aware everyone's got their own views about if and/or how they want to watch. No judgement from us either way but for those that are watching tonight, this is your thread for Semi Final One which will be going live in around an hour's time.

Guess I better try and find a song then…

But mama in that semi, where were the points coming from?

The New Lexican delegation plan to milk the Ashtonian hospitality for all its worth before the inevitable DNQ result

POPHOES OF THE WORLD UNITE!

New Lexico's papers are submitted girlies!

The dance pop was a nice experiment but going for something unstylishly poppy this time

How dare you say something that is true! P.S. Everyone vote for my song with male vocals pl0x

I knew bribing Jafet to rig the algorithm for me would work (eventually). This might be me being delulu but I do think Medicine has enough appeal to enough people from the pop, dance and possibly even the alt-leaning tastes who appreciate some swag that I think I'm being underestimated. Also, call me a contrarian but I'm not voting for any Fljotavik entry that Dandy's actually heard before entering it (also it's bad soz x)

Drop your suggestions in my furry, pink box

HAVING SAID THAT, I will be declaring a blood feud on anyone who blanks my song in the final!

There's already a suggestions box thread in the pinned threads for anyone to put anything which I'm about to post in. The "lets have an annonymous contest" suggestion comes around every 7-8 contests or so and it just feels like such a circular argument at this point. If we were still in the days of popularity contests happening in the lounge on the regular then I could kinda see the argument there but I'm not convinced. If I were to be blunt about it, I do think there is an unavoidable element of ego in this conversation. You sometimes get so attached to a song you've put in that finding out other people aren't that fussed about it can feel like the only reason it could have failed is due to a dark cabal of sneaky socially awkawrd gays and nerds who are excluding the dear virtuous souls putting in [insert whatever meme I said about seven minute songs with no melodies] and it must be a conspiracy that goes all the way to the top!!!1!11!!!

Flynnonda ROBBED!

Oops too late! Will send my votes in before too much time has passed.

I beg to differ, it is clearly: "I met you yesterday oh I met you yesterday when I was busy shopping shopping at Bloomingdales"

Damn right it’s Channel season baby New Lexico taking a one month associate membership of the dancebloc.

(probably forgot a bunch of good stuff so if you see this being edited in the next hour or so no you didn't)

Supposing I had a hard limit of 40 tracks and it has to speak to the overall New Lexico vibe I would probably go with this THE HITS Metroplane - Word of Mouth (feat. Bree Runway) Confidence Man - Better Sit Down Boy Celtic Woman - Tir Na Nog (feat Oonagh) Lilit Hovhanissyan - Armenian Girl Yorke - airplane mode NERVO - You're Gonna Love Again Maude Latour - XOXO Ben & Tan - Iron Heart Ericka Jane - Death Of Me Jennifer Aoun - Breaking My Heart Bambie Thug - Tsunami (11:11) Sofi de la Torre - Colorblind Cruisin Moyka - Spaces Emmi - Drum KeshYew - Riyzamin Ivy Levan - Biscuit Bright Light Bright Light - Disco Moment George Maple - Hero Alice Levan - Lash Out KREAM - Taped Up Heart (feat. Clara Mae) Fear of Tigers - That's My Why Kelly Sweet - Ashes Of My Paradise Ask Embla - Einn The Scarlet Opera - Alive Duplex Heart - Keep Coming Back To The Start THE DEEP CUTS Simon Curtis - Flesh WooWoos - Fizzy Lettuce Ronya - Annoying Tegan and Sara - I'm Not Your Hero Sabina Ddumba - Scarred For Life Oonagh - Gaa Le Grind - Bricks Ralph - Tease Yola - Faraway Look Elodie - Andromeda Myriam Fares - Aman Chrissy Chlapecka - Brat Celtian - Niamh Tom Rasmussen - Dysphoria Genesis Lynea - Get Down

UPDATE: We're in! New Lexico recycling a former Skall artist for the biggest genrebloc crossover in generations!

Not checked the entries yet but went with my first choice and fully prepared to be beaten to it.

And don't think I missed the 6 pointer from N DNTN, chris is a pophoe deep down in there somewhere!

Not me passing up on a potential winner in 181 because I was convinced y'all would love 80s lesbian werewolf pop Still, long live the pophoe alliance!

I predict that I will be beaten by the song I confirmed for 181 but switched out part way through confirmations, "Dance The Pain Away" and possibly some other songs as well.
