Yep, TOTALLY understand what you mean and I agree. :) I think Happy is a brilliant song from a lyrical and vocal point of view, but not the best single choice commercially. I still think they made the right decision though lol. OMH as a lead single for example would alienate Leona fans who feel in love with her voice and ballads and it doesn't represent the album as a whole.

It probably is as it's not a very common/generic title for a song.

Yeah it's catchy enough to be memorable but it's easy to forget how the meloldy goes so then you want to listen to it more making it more addicting. :P Most people instantly loved BL but they got sick of it the more they listened to it. Happy is the complete opposite... every listen only feels like the second or third to me. It's a great song. :D

The majority of the general public haven't heard the song yet and I'm sure they aren't even aware that she is releasing new material soon. I'm not worried at all. :)
