Actually it has been discussed that Tension has already sold 40k in the US in pre-orders which is enough for top 10 which is a great achievement in itself scoring her 2nd top 10 album there after all these years… In the Uk it should sell around 45-50k, fingers crossed

Totally agree, the only album i really liked of her was Try This which was deemed a failure because it wasn’t commercial, everything she released after that is radio friendly harmless pop rock…

songs by UK artists have been doing well in the US for a long time now probably since 2010… between 1997 and 2010 there was a dry spell for UK artists in the US which was only interrupted by James Blunt, Leona Lewis & Coldplay who all scored number ones…. However, a lot has improved since 2010, artists like Adele, Ed Sheeran & others…

older artists like Madonna , Celine Dion etc would lose the most due to this new rule... their last albums had chart runs of 1-87 due to the bundle thing... now they would barely make it into the charts

there should be a seperate chart for old greatest hits albums , maybe introduce the recurrent rule same as in the US, that will make the album chart more current and more reflective of the current trends, and also would make way for other new artists to appear on the charts.... and definitly playlists should be removed from album charts...

Bruno Mars’ song is so overrated, dont know why its still climbing on airplay...
