well not really, because most of 5SOS album sales rely on crazed fans buying multiple cassette copies and CD bundles which only helped them in the first week, their 2nd week drop just proved how indifferent is the general public to their music, and their overall sales tally will further prove that....

you should take into consideration the current comical sales, when 3k is enough to guarantee a top 10 placing...

horrible sales in the album charts this week, hopefully Dua can make it, even if its with 10k sales only...

5SOS were so desperate to rob Dua Lipa of her number 1 that they resorted to such cheap tactics such as pushing their crazed fans to purchase multiple copies of a cassette we all know they will never use not mentioning begging their famous friends to tweet about it, and then asking their fans to buy even more copies to donate to the NHS in a desperate stunt to generate more sales... it still sounds fishy that they managed to grab 12k last day so maybe its something that should be investigated further...

people are giving Dua Lipa a hard time saying that her album underperformed, they probably forgot that we’re at a time where thousands of people in the UK are battling death, there are hundreds of daily deaths due to the coronavirus, as well as the global panic which lead to diminished interest in music/ entertainment overall, not to mention that record stores are closed and streaming numbers are down by 20%.... in normal cirumstances her album would have no problem selling 50k first week, but in dark times like these 25k-28k is still a good number nonetheless...

it is, especially when it comes to the distinction between a great pop album with strong solid hits and a boy band feeding a bunch of crazed fans multiple pointless versions of an insipid album...

so desperate, they should stop milking their fans....its pathetic Dua deserves the number 1 album, Future Nostalgia is one of the best pop albums to come out the last 10 years...

Dua Lipa chose the wrong week to release her album, she should’ve released it this friday as originally planned...

she was relatively unknown at the time... the second album usually always open with the biggest sales especially if the debut was successful... the problem is the release coinciding with the coronavirus epidemic outburst...

her singles didnt perform too well? Don’t start now is still top 10 after more than 20 weeks in the charts not to mention that its her biggest worldwide hits even reaching number 2 in US, Physical is number 5 and is still climbing, Break my heart will be the 3rd top 10 from the album... so i think all in all her singles outperformed all expectations.... as for the album, the music quality is outstanding,the reviews have been stellar, the only problem is the timing, it was released at a time when most people are not following the entertainment scene and are mostly following the news, not to mention that she couldn’t do any promotion due to all events getting cancelled due to the coronavirus epidemic, hence the lower sales, im sure it will sell more in the long run...
