  1. it didn't flop yet. it's still climbing on iTunes reaching as far as number 58 today so hopefully it will reappear next week on the BB Hot 100...
  2. As much as I find 'Walk like Rihanna' annoying , I think it's still better than 80% of what's on the current US charts including boring repetitive country songs and cliche talentless hip hop tunes.
  3. Only 4 UK songs in the Hot 100.... We need Adele back....
  4. Pet Shop Boys - Always on my mind (Elvis) Pet Shop Boys- Go West (Village people) Kylie Minogue -The locomotion (Eva)
  5. Where have you been was top 10 on iTunes for 2 months and sold.more than 2 million downloads, it's far from poor....

in order for it to chart she has to add the word Lloyd after her name, otherwise i'm afraid it will miss the top 75 all together and maybe reach number 72 if performed on the XFactor final a la Janet 'Make me'...
  7. why is When you're gone listed as a Solo Spice single while it was obviously a Bryan Adams single with 2 lines sung by Mel C at the end??? it's unfair to the real number 1: Geri....
  8. i hope it's Rihanna or Maroon 5 or someone relevant in the US, and not some has been like Timbaland or Scissor Sisters or some wannabes like Rita Ora or Iggy Azalea, that would make her lose all her credibility....
  9. it's actually her 3rd after 'Want you back' and 'Oath'...
  10. Lack of airplay and streaming is not helping UK artists at the moment, there hasn't been any significant airplay for Little Mix, Cher Lloyd, One Direction or even Adele's last hit single skyfall therefore their chart positions only relied on sales which now only accounts for 30% of chart points....
  11. weird that Robin Thicke is at number.2 saleswise yet is.nowhere.to.be seen in the official BB top 10.... back.in.the pre-streaming era, a number 2 digital song would've guaranteed a top 5 placing on the BB hot 100...
  12. i heard Daft Punk's new album a few times but i don't think it will break any records... 100-150 k first week is certain and is a huge achievement in a time when established artists struggle to sell albums... My fave on the album is Give Life back to music : should be a single...
  13. why is the song at 85 Wild for the night also included in the OUT list ???

We don't want that happening again.... In the US YouTube views count in the streaming and overall charts...

Single Sales are at an all time high in the UK, we don't need streaming to make it relevant, besides if someone doesn't like the song enough to buy it then it shouldn't count anyway, what next adding home made YouTube videos to the chart like in the US and ending up getting Harlem Shake and Gangnam Style as number 1 of the year???
  16. Daniel Bedingfield?? S Club 7 ?? Blue?? they all went top 40 in 2002 not to mention UK.based Kylie Minogue who had 2 top 40 hits in 2002...
  17. i don't think it is... it was already released to alternative radio so it will.not.be added.to.pop or mainstream radio anytime soon.... shocked to see that the highest placing UK artist is at number 34!!! must be an all time low for UK artists in the US...
  18. Texas recently released one of the best singles of the year : 'The Conversation' yet no one noticed... same goes for BWitched and all the 90's acts and all older acts in general... if u don't appeal to the 18-25 demographic then ur doomed: in a world where Madonna, Kylie Minogue, Pet Shop Boys, Depeche Mode struggle to reach the top 100, i wonder how relevant is today's chart when it comes to real talent...
  19. Weird to see Ciara so high on the BBHot 100 given that she was barely inside the top 100 iTunes chart... I'm sure streaming must've helped her a lot and many other R&B/hip hop artists by compensating in their lack of sales... The inclusion of on demand streams an YouTube streams has mostly helped urban acts like Drake, Lil Wayne, Kendrick Lamar, Nicki Minaj and compensated on their low sales....
  20. not because she's the first, at time of release they decided to credit her with the lead since she was the most popular of them girls at the time...
  21. it is for Christina since she's the lead on it...
  22. Yeah but Pink wasn't the lead artist on that one so it doesn't count as a Pink song.... Anyway I'm glad that she's number 1 over PSY ... Was afraid his YouTube views could guarantee him a number 1....
  23. this time is the longest... 'So what' and 'Raise your glass' both stayed for 1 week....
  24. One hit wonder??? Psy Gentleman will be this week's Hot 100 number 1 thanks to its huge YouTube views...
  25. gentleman is a surefire number 1 with the huge amount of views it has collected...
