  1. Low sales for Major Lazer/bieber given the hype.. It will be close between them and Drake given the fact that some streaming data is missing....

Cliff Richard's songs are played everywhere in the world and still to this day, i live in Lebanon and his 'Congratulations' song keeps getting played at every wedding party or graduation, not to mention his Christmas songs... Rod Stewart has released some of the most classic songs of the 70s and 80s that are still airplayed and performed all over the globe... As for Jay Z and Kanye and Drake, i don't think they will be remembered as stand alone artists, since most of their songs are collaborations...

couldn't agree more.... the Sales chart is far more exciting and fast than the actual official charts, and sales are being overshadowed by streaming : nowadays we get songs reaching the sales top 5 without entering the official top 20, i think the sales/streaming ratio should be altered in favor of sales, Even if sales are decreasing, they are still decent, since we are getting number 1's selling 35-40 k on average which is not that bad and is comparable to the 2006-2008 period , and i feel that paying for a track should count 1000 times more than streaming a song for free without any intention to pay for it...

R u really putting the 2 songs on the same level??? There's nothing to compare... Everything I do is a classic ballad/love song and is still airplayed to this day 25 years later, while One Dance is an autotuned mess that will be forgotten in a few months time just like any Drake, Kanye, JayZ song....

I can't believe Drake is competing with classics such as Love is all around and Everything I do for most weeks at number 1!!!!! I mean, his song is nothing special, it's just a rehash of some old song and barely deserved a top 10 placing let alone be number 1 for 14 weeks... Streaming has totally ruined the charts and made it stale and boring... I miss the days back in the 90s and early 00s when we used to have 5 or 6 entries in the top 10... Now we get the same songs in the top 10 for 6 months!!!! Awful really...

I think the streaming/sales rate should be decreased in the overall chart because the chart is no longer representative of the most popular songs anymore... How can a song that barely sell 10k copies per week be number 1 for 11 weeks while a song that sells 50k for 4+ weeks be denied the number 1 spot.... Most songs don't have a chance to appear on the chart if they don't have enough streaming which is unfair.... Plus the streaming dominated chart is biased against older artists/pop artists as opposed to R&B/teen artists which are mostly helped by streaming...
  7. I'm so gutted that Garbage didn't make it into the top 10... Such an amazing album...
  8. Awful Eurovision winner and the song 1944 has no tune and no melody and the singer's performance was dire... Poli Genova from Bulgaria deserved to win, she has the catchiest song of them all and did the best performance.... austria was great too with her french song.
  9. what did she expect with this dire album??? if it wasn't for her name it wouldn't have sold 1000 copies!!!! such a mediocre album with an awful :puke2: lead single...
  10. I thought BBHMM and American Oxygen were the worst Rihanna singles ever, that's until i heard 'Work'... Another huge disappointment... Hopefully her album will have better tracks on it...

Elton John? George Michael? Adele? Chris Martin/Coldplay? Rod Stewart? Tom Jones? Paul McCartney?? And a lot more....
  12. It reached number 10 as a BSide to Please Stay back in 2000... And number 76 on its own in 2007...
  13. It should be a Christmas song that reaches number 1 on Christmas week from now on.... i wish there would be a campaign to get a Kylie Christmas song at number 1 next year... Like 'White December' or 'Christmas Isn't Christmas' or 'Every day's like Christmas' even though its highly unlikely...
  14. Buble's total worldwide sales stand at 30 million according to stats, including 18 million sales in the US alone, so his worldwide non US sales are just 12 million.... Kylie has sold 80 million worldwide and that without having to sell almost anything in the US.... Do the math...
  15. You're wrong dear , Kylie is popular everywhere in the world except the US, she's not just a UK act, her tours reach Asia, Latin America, all of Europe and the Middle East & she manages to sell out venues everywhere, her songs reach the top 10 in at least 25-40 different countries, so ur comment is not really accurate...
  16. Seriously, you must be really joking. Kylie is at least 10 times more famous than Michael Buble, she has many multi-million selling albums and she's very popular all over the world, except the US... She is even popular is Asia, Latin America and the Middle East.... Ur comments are in no way relevant... Michael Buble is at best a good singer but he hasn't had sny sizeable international hit, while Kylie had so many over the years...
  17. Buble is a bigger artist than Kylie???? Really? I seriously doubt that... She has sold over 80 million records since 1987 which is a huge achievement making her one of the most successful artists ever... Which can't be said of Buble..
  18. Number 1 where exactly? In Kazakhstan? Because the past few years her UK chart positions have been dire... Hopefully she will manage Top 100 with promo...

Coldplay will struggle to reach 100 k sales especially since the lead single from the album didn't perform well... So I think Adele will stay put at number 1 in the albums through January...

Adele is the ultimate record holder, she will sell this week more than Oasis sold in the 1st seven days of release which means a lot more in this day and age when total album sales in a week are averaging 1 million-1.1 million.... Adele really saved the music industry she's an international superstar who is about to sell 5 million copies worldwide in the first week of release.... She is truly an icon...Oasis are almost unknown outside the UK except their 'Wonderwall' single...
  21. i predict 1. 1D 65000 2.Bieber 48000 3. Ed 32000 7. Ben haenow 12000 24. Kylie 2500
  22. No wonder why they decided to release a new duet last month, probably to celebrate their heydays... GaUlV2VifT4
  23. I'd rather have Kelly Clarkson rip-off Rachel Platten at number 1 then another cover of 'Ain't Nobody' after another thousand versions charted in the past...
  24. Very bad sales indeed... 30000 for a number 1 in the US is atrocious... Even in the UK it would have been considered as a low selling number 1... At this point not even streaming can mask those hideous sales...
  25. did Kylie's new single chart in the top 1000 yet?
