  1. that's gotta be the worst example ever  Diamonds wouldn't even have charted if it wasn't for Rihanna, if it was performed by Sia or even someone more popular like Kylie or Madonna it would've been completely ignored... so it's Rihanna's name, and her name only that made Diamonds such a hit...
  2. a featured artist is a featured artist in my opinion and whether his input is minimal or not, should NOT be given the same credit as a lead artist, if he deserved it, then they would've called it a duet...
  3. no, of course not... Calvin Harris turned it into a hit just like Todd Terry did for Everything but the girl's 'Missing' back in the 90's and turned it into one of the biggest hits of the decade after it was ignored the first time it got released.... but both of them didn't get any credits, just loads of cash $$$$ :w00t: ....
  4. yeah but would it have made any difference whether it was another rapper on these tracks??? i don't think so, therefore while i only regard 'Right Round', 'Club can't handle me' and 'Good feeling' as Flo rida number 1's but i can't count 'Right round' as a Kesha number 1 or 'Club can't handle me' as a David Guetta number 1....
  5. I get your point but this featured artist thing which has increased the past 10 years has created many chart anomalies such as Lil Wayne becoming more successful 'chartwise' than Elvis and Nicki Minaj having more hits in 2 years than late Whitney Houston in her entire career....
  6. right, then David Guetta doesn't have any hit yet to his name.... it's not about singing o not or rapping or not, it's about the featured artist getting full credit for a song he had minimal input in... such as Nicki Minaj & M.I.A in 'Gimme all your luvin' by Madonna on which they only rapped for 10 seconds each... i mean should Lil Wayne be considered on the same level as Elvis Presley???
  7. yeah but these are peculiar cases... Dido scored a hit of her own with 'Thank You' from which 'Stan' was taken.. and it was a much bigger hit especially in th US where it reached the top 3 while Eminem's 'Stan' didn't make the top 40....
  8. give me some examples plz....
  9. This week we had an example of a minor feature artist getting a recognition for a song he rapped for 20 seconds in, chart references are now considering 'Troublemaker' to be Olly Murs' 4th number 1 and Flo Rida's 5th  and that including 'Bad Boys' where he was featured on Alexandra Burke's number 1 hit!!! I mean come on, is 'Bad Boys'a Flo Rida song?? NO then why should it be considered among his number 1s ?? or is Umbrella a Jay-Z number 1 ?? I don't think so....It's a Rihanna number 1 where Jay-Z happened to sing the opening verse , which in both cases would've been number 1 whether it was him, Snoop Dogg, Eminem or some unknown rapper featured.... same goes for Ludacris' part in Taio Cruz's 'Break your heart' US edition where it was counted as a Ludacris' number one!!! Recently in the US, Lil Wayne was crowned king of the US Billboard Chart breaking Elvis Presley's record for most Billboard Hot 100 entries :o , it was deemed as outrageous by Elvis fans since most of Lil Wayne's entries are as featured guest sometimes with 3 other rappers, while Elvis' entries are solo songs. In my opinion, only the leading artist should be given full credit for his songs and the hit should not be added to the featured artist discography or chart records since it's unfair to the lead artist , however, in duet songs credit should be given to both artists such as Beyonce & Shakira's 2006 number 1 hit 'Beautiful liar' or Gary Barlow & Robbie Williams 'Shame'.

David Guetta, will.i.am, Eminem, Kanye West , Ludacris and maybe even Cher with her new single...

She flopped because she's British, if she was American she would've been all over the place....
  12. i'm comparing this week to the past few months, not the past decades!!!!
  13. the Wanted should've been in purple... they are fewer and fewer these days...
  14. it doesn't need to sell zillions more than the number 2 song to deserve a number 1, it sold at least 30% more than Maroon 5 in each of the past 8 weeks Which should've been enough to place it at number 1 for a few weeks... exaggerating the airplay quota is really harming the charts relevance....
  15. Maroon 5 should just go away.... that song doesn't deserve that much success.... it's been number 1 in the BB Hot 100 for ages thanks to its huge airplay lead.... PSY should've got there for 2 weeks at least, he had an average of 100k sales more than Maroon 5 but yet didn't manage to reach number 1 thx to radio xenophobic policies....
  16. Olly Murs Troublemaker deserves the number 1 spot... It's such a catchy pop song, one of the best this year... I love Girls Aloud but their new single sounds underwhelming tbh... They've done better B-sides..,
  17. Radio policies should NOT define what's popular and what's not... Only consumers should have that right, and what better way to define popularity than actual sales.... that's why the digital chart is the most representative of the public's ttaste....
  18. Why not choose a Kylie song that hasn't reached number 1 like The One or a non single like 'Cupid boy' or a new release like Flower which flopped badly....
  19. Too bad that Psy will never reach number 1 while he had the biggest selling US single of the past 6 weeks... Just proves how unfair the BB Hot 100 is.... Also the Wanted only got to number 95 while they were in the iTunes top 20 for most of the week which prove that the BB hot 100 is getting more airplay based than sales based: just look at last week when Taylor Swift 'we are never...' had zero digital sales (due to the complete my album deduction) and was still at number 11 in the BB hot 100!!!!
  20. i think she totally messed up during the 'Talk that Talk' era.... besides 'We Found Love' which was an amazing dance pop single which smashed the charts everywhere, 'You da one' was a pointless release and didn't set the charts alight anywhere especially since 'We found love' was already a huge hit so it was a let down... 'Roc me out' or 'Talk that talk' (but with promotion and a video featuring Jay-Z) would've been more suitable for a 2nd single... 'Where have you been' was a natural choice for a single since it's the 2nd catchiest on the album after 'We found love' but should've been the 3rd single not the 5th....'Birthday cake' Was OK but she didn't do a video a la Adele and decided to leak a remix edit with Chris Brown which wasn't released.... so she did mess up her album campaign... the 'Cockiness' US performance was pointless and also the remix.....

it's weird that this song didn't chart high in either the UK or US, given it has gathered more than 360 million views on YouTube.....
  22. in this current album climate, they'd be lucky to shift 60k....
  23. Timebomb is better... i love Flower but Timebomb is more Kylie....

but they're right, did u see the obvious symbols in the video???? it's all there: pyramids, all seeing eyes, reversed crosses... everything... it can't be more obvious...

they're all illuminati symbols/devilish/anti-Christ which we are now used to see in most music videos... she's sorta trying to be the new Lady Gaga with the whole anti-Christ agenda.....
