It's the first time in the UK charts that we have 2 new entries in the top 10 by UK artists... Plus One Direction scored the highest new entry by a UK artist ever Stateside...

Not that it's ruining her life but I think it matters to her and her fans... Besides she's British so I'm sure she cares whether she's loved & appreciated in her home country or not... Right after she was hailed at the Grammys with six awards, her Brits acceptance speech was cut short so a UK number 1 would be a nice way to say sorry to Adele from her UK fans...

Hope that Adele can hang on to the number 1 spot throughout this week, she needs that number 1, it's a shame that she only has 1 UK number 1 while she has 3 in the US....

Yes but that was before the new chart rules which increased the importance of airplay and streaming... Now u need at least 500 k or more to compete for the number 1 spot without airplay... boyfriend by Justin Bieber sold more than 500 k in the US yet it only made number 2....

If Heart Skips a beat wasn't a top 40 hit in thE US then I don't know what will... It's by far his catchiest song ever... Gaga only has 3 number 1 singles in the US, but now it's much harder to debut at number 1 in the BB hot 100 since airplay and streaming importance increased after the chart rules shift....
