Dark Horse

yeah but you can't compare Adele to 1D and the Wanted.. Adele's audience is mature and ranges from 20 somethings to 50+ category, while 1D & The Wanted's main fanbase is teenage girls & kids which will soon move on to the next big thing... the only way for 1D to survive if they mature and change their music style in the next 2 years, otherwise they would disappear and flop.... Adele is a real artist/singer-songwriter whereas 1D is a manufactured pop act....

will HMV sell One Direction's new single on CD???

Labrinth could've scored huge US hits with 'Earthquake', 'Express Yourself' and 'Beneath your beautiful' , the first two are very suitable for the American market and the third's success depends on Emeli's US career otherwise she should be replaced with a female with a big US audience like Alicia Keys or someone else....

Me too he was kinda hot especially during his solo era... One of my exes looks a lot like him but buffer...

i'm sure their worldwide dominance will be far from affected by the Brits... i'd actually rather have their bland cover at number 1 in the UK and worldwide rather than that boring Mr Oizo cover 'Harlem shake'... B-)

you're right.. 'Heart skips a beat' deserved to be huge.... too bad it only reached number 96... but i'm sure after the success of 'Troublemaker' a 'Heart skips a beat' re-release would push it inside the top 40 at least...

you're totally right... both tracks are OK but are better off as album tracks, and both should've been replaced with far superior album tracks like 'Like a drug', 'Speakerphone', 'Sensitized' from X and 'Cupid Boy' or 'Aphrodite' from 'Aphrodite'...

One Direction's 'One way or another' is now at number 1 on 60 iTunes charts!!! Must be a record... ;) and they did it with a cover of a song that's already been covered hundreds of time!!!! Link: One Direction iTunes One Direction Worldwide iTunes Performance | Last update: 2013-02-17 15:35:17 EDT | One Way Or Another It's number 1 in these countries :o #1 United States #1 United Kingdom #1 Argentina #1 Bahrain #1 Brazil #1 Brunei Darussalam #1 Bulgaria #1 Canada #1 Chile #1 Colombia #1 Costa Rica #1 Cyprus #1 Czech Republic #1 Denmark #1 Dominican Republic #1 Ecuador #1 Egypt #1 El Salvador #1 Estonia #1 Finland #1 Greece #1 Guatemala #1 Honduras #1 Hong Kong #1 Hungary #1 Indonesia #1 Ireland #1 Israel #1 Jordan #1 Kazakhstan #1 Latvia #1 Lebanon :w00t: #1 Malaysia #1 Malta #1 Mexico #1 Netherlands #1 New Zealand #1 Nicaragua #1 Norway #1 Oman #1 Panama #1 Paraguay #1 Peru #1 Philippines #1 Poland #1 Portugal #1 Romania #1 Saudi Arabia #1 Singapore #1 Slovakia #1 Slovenia #1 Spain #1 Sweden #1 Turkey #1 United Arab Emirates #1 Venezuela #1 Vietnam ...... :o not to mention they are top 5 in: #2 Australia #2 Bolivia #2 Qatar #2 Thailand #3 Austria #3 Azerbaijan #3 Belgium #3 France #3 Lithuania #3 Luxembourg #4 Belarus #4 Italy #4 Switzerland #5 Cyprus #5 Russia !!!!!

i think I Found You is one of the most underrated pop songs of.the past few years.. it's so catchy , has 2 nice videos and a great catchy intro... shame it didn't do that well...

:o Duffy old???? the girl is still in her 20's and her career started back in 2008 !!!! define old....

I think they Are doing this in order to increase digital album sales and now most record labels will start using this way to promote their artists new albums....

as much as i adore Kylie but i don't think.she will be recognized internationally if she's not known in the US, like it or not, the US rules international media, therefore success in the US means her international fanbase will triple.... she NEEDS to make it big in the US otherwise she's doomed... i don't know if she will.be accepted aa a 44 year old lady and get airplay in ageist America...

up to 51 now... I can't believe Little Mix outperformed the Saturdays with zero promotion, except the fact that they're backed by Simon Cowell of course which makes all the difference..

Right Now and Nobodies Business are the 2 obvious single choices from Unapologetic, the rest is fillers.....

Did Pulp chart at all???

yeah, those were the days... actually HMV Oxford always was one of the first places i visit whenever i travel to London..such a shame it has to go... one less day in my future trips...

it's quite sad that Marina's How to Be a Heartbreaker wil NOT be her first 10 hit, it's by far her catchiest most instant song ever , ( not mentioning the sexy video with loads of hot guys )... but as many Buzzjackers said it's been held back too long without promotion therefore she couldn't create interest outside her fanbase....

Amazing climb for Olly Murs, hope he makes the top 40 soon....

It must be mainly the HMV closure since a higher percentage of sales is physical...

Nice climb for will.I.am and Britney...

i'm not a xenophobe and i`m neither British or American, i'm Lebanese living in Beirut but i'm just happy that UK artists are making an impact in the US since Uk artists were completly ignored by US radio for 15 years from 1993 till 2008 and I'm glad that some.UK artists are now getting recognition worldwide... besides i don't hate americans at all : my two sisters live in LA and have US passports...i.just happen to like UK music that's all...

Actually he deserves it a lot more than Kesha..He's British, talented and his songs are amazing, 3 things that Kesha lacks....

Better than today should've been the 2nd single not the 3rd, it's Get outta my way which was pointless... Cupid Boy and Aphrodite should've been released as 3rd and 4th singles...

Laws should be enforced regarding any trade that happens in the UK whether physical stores or online shops.... foreign sites should also be banned from trading in the UK and any imported product should be taxed...

Yeah but Internet retails are not paying taxes therefore can sell at much lower prices which leads to more shops closing down and more people losing their jobs in favor of cheaper Internet retail... No one is gonna pay 30% more to buy a product at a store just to keep them alive because people want Cheaper... Same goes for the HMV/Amazon situation...Therefore laws are needed in order to force Internet retails to pay more taxes and help the shops stay alive...
