yeah but two hits don't make her a worldwide star, she needs at least 6 or 7 huge hits before she could start competing with Rihanna, Gaga,Katy Perry, Pink, Britney, Beyonce for the title of international superstar female of the moment...

exactly my thoughts, i mean what was he thinking.going against the xfactor winner and thus denying Miss.Britney her 6th.number one....

er.... i was being sarcastic... ;) i'm a Kylie mega-fan, actually the biggest in the world, i've travelled at least 8 times in my lifetime to watch her live in other countries and at least spent a fortune on that and on her cd's and tickets.... so i know what i'm talking about ^_^ But, as a mega-fan, i don't want her to be reduced to that one song, she has one of the biggest back catalogues in the music indsuty ever, then why should she limit herself to that one song only while she could've performed a zillion others????

Tulisa is a complete unknown outside the UK and even in the UK she is only known for being a one hit wonder trying to judge other people's careers while she has.none.... if they wanted to get a worthy one hit wonder they should've brought Estelle on the Xfactor : at least she has a voice, and an amazing one,plus she has collaborated with some of the biggest stars on the planet.... Tulisa is only famous for her sex tape: Paris Hilton style but without the international interest....

wow at 1997's sales!!!! :o and to think they were 100% due to physical sales!!! people had to get in line to buy single CD's back then , while now you only need a cellphone and an itunes account.... and still sales were a lot higher than they are today....

they peaked very low, and 'T.H.E' barely reached the top 40 on the BB Hot 100 while 'This is love' failed to chart. we can all safely say that 'Scream & shout's huge US success is mainly due to Britney's feature... :rolleyes:

i don't think Pink ever repeated herself performance-wise, so i don't think she'll do the same performance again....

and with her worst album.to date.....

that's gotta be the worst example ever :lol: Diamonds wouldn't even have charted if it wasn't for Rihanna, if it was performed by Sia or even someone more popular like Kylie or Madonna it would've been completely ignored... so it's Rihanna's name, and her name only that made Diamonds such a hit...

a featured artist is a featured artist in my opinion and whether his input is minimal or not, should NOT be given the same credit as a lead artist, if he deserved it, then they would've called it a duet...

Calvin Harris turned it into a hit just like Todd Terry did for Everything but the girl's 'Missing' back in the 90's and turned it into one of the biggest hits of the decade after it was ignored the first time it got released.... but both of them didn't get any credits, just loads of cash $$$$ :w00t: ....

yeah but would it have made any difference whether it was another rapper on these tracks??? i don't think so, therefore while i only regard 'Right Round', 'Club can't handle me' and 'Good feeling' as Flo rida number 1's but i can't count 'Right round' as a Kesha number 1 or 'Club can't handle me' as a David Guetta number 1....

I get your point but this featured artist thing which has increased the past 10 years has created many chart anomalies such as Lil Wayne becoming more successful 'chartwise' than Elvis and Nicki Minaj having more hits in 2 years than late Whitney Houston in her entire career....

right, then David Guetta doesn't have any hit yet to his name.... :lol: it's not about singing o not or rapping or not, it's about the featured artist getting full credit for a song he had minimal input in... such as Nicki Minaj & M.I.A in 'Gimme all your luvin' by Madonna on which they only rapped for 10 seconds each... i mean should Lil Wayne be considered on the same level as Elvis Presley???

yeah but these are peculiar cases... Dido scored a hit of her own with 'Thank You' from which 'Stan' was taken.. and it was a much bigger hit especially in th US where it reached the top 3 while Eminem's 'Stan' didn't make the top 40....
