Nirvana - Smells Like Teen Spirit for Xmas #1?
i would choose 'F*** you' by Lily Allen, she deserves that number 1 hit plus this song is a huge statement and is very anti-establishment.... second choice would be Gaga's 'Bloody Mary' just to teach her a lesson about single releases choices....

US Billboard Hot 100 - 11/19/2011

-
ARIA Charts - 14/11/11
the big majority of album sales in Australia & the rest of the world is physical copies... so the itunes chart only counts for single sales...

80 k maximum since sales are sooooo low nowadays....

Little Boots - Nocturnes
very disappointing, the worst track on 'Hands' pisses all over this one... this sounds at most like a Gina G reject from 1997...

US Billboard Top 200 Albums - 11/12/2011 - (with sales)
amazing sales for Coldplay... Adele still selling strongly after 6 months, she has the number 1 album of the year in the bag... unless Taylor Swift committs suicide & releases a posthumous album of dreary love songs.... Mumford & Sons :) great sales too...

US Billboard Hot 100 - 11/12/2011
5 British acts in the top 20 and 11 in the Hot 100.... things are really improving for Brits in The US thanks to downloads.... back in the 90's and early 00's it was unheard off, a lot of BB hot 100's didn't have any british act....

US iTunes Top 100 [JUL-DEC 2011]
well said :D totally agree... the song should chart regardless of its time of recording, if people are buying it then it should be up there with the rest of the songs. It's not fair to have a aongthat sold 20 k in the Hot 100 while one that sold 200 k (like what happened in the MJ death era 2009) outside the chart just because of silly chart rules....

Daily US Airplay Updates - JUN-DEC 2011
'Set fire to the rain' was a huge hit all over the world, and not to release it in the US as the 3rd single with a proper video would be a crime against her career there... 'Rumor has it' is OK but doesn't have that much of a potential...

Which UK Acts Should Release Singles In The US ???
but they haven't properly released any single so far.... they only sent 'Everybody in love' to US radio with zero promotion.... they have the potential if promoted properly...

Which UK Acts Should Release Singles In The US ???
Many UK acts have been making it big Stateside the past 4 years, (especially after the inclusion of downloads in the sales charts) after a dry period of 10 years. Adele, Coldplay, Taio Cruz, James Blunt, Florence & The Machine , Natasha Bedingfield all scored big hits there , yet many very famous UK acts still refuse to launch their careers Stateside. In your opinion which UK acts have a big shot of making it big there, and if u were their manager/record label, which 3 singles from their repertoire would you choose to launch them stateside??? Here's a list of UK acts which i think have a big shot at success in the US and the 3 singles i would choose to launch them: Alexandra Burke : (her musical style which is R&B pop is very successful in the States and it is a big shame that she hasn't yet releasing anything there + she has already worked with many famous producers & rappers) I think she should release 'Bad Boys' as her first single there since it has Flo Rida in it + it's very catchy, 'All night long' (with Pitbull) as her 2nd single since Pitbull is huge in the US, and 'Start without you' as her 3rd single but with a rapper maybe Lil'Wayne to boost her profile there. The Wanted : their sound is very US friendly, they are about to release 'Glad you came' in the US which works well as a debut there, 'All time low' would make a great follow-up and 'Lightning' as a 3rd since it's very college pop-rock. Professor Green the British Eminem could work there as a novely since the americans have recently become fond of the brit accent, 'Read all about it' could make a good debut there if he features a famous US singer , 'At your inconveniance' as 2nd single (very early Eminem), and D.P.M.O as a 3rd single. JLS they should release 'Beat again' featuring a rapper (cliche i know but would work there) maybe Nicki Minaj, 'Everybody in Love' as the 2nd single and 'She makes me wanna' featuring Dev as 3rd single. The Saturdays: (their songs are really catchy & actually some of them have the potential to become hits there) I would choose 'Higher' with Flo Rida as the 1st single to lauch them Stateside since it's very dance-R&B sounding, 'All fired up' as the 2nd , and as 'Forever is over' the 3rd. Pixie Lott: she is huge is the UK, yet nobody knows who she is in the US, 'Mama do' will do great as a debut there like it did worldwide, 'All about tonight' as a 2nd and 'What do you take me for' as the 3rd but featuring a famous US rapper maybe Ludacris for example. Lemar: has been huge in the UK & many other countries for years now yet didn't release anything in the US yet, his sound is very US friendly since it's soul-R&B, he should release 'If there's any justice' as his debut, 'The way love goes' as the 2nd and 'Weight of the world' as the 3rd. Scouting for Girls: very US college rock Blink 182 but with a friendlier sound. 'She's so lovely' 'This ain't a love song' and 'Famous' would make great career opening singles.

US iTunes Top 100 [JUL-DEC 2011]
right, it doesn't matter if the song is old or new as long as they're selling... A week after his death, Michael Jackson had 6 songs in the sales top 10 yet none of them charted in the official charts.... that was cruel... :arrr:
