any news on Disco and Santa Baby?

100% agree if thats what people are choosing to listen to, it should chart where it deserves... actually i think that they should remove the ACR rule alltogether because its unfairly biased towards older songs....charts should reflect people’s consuming habits therefore any artificial change would lead to an unrepresentative chart...

only 6 out of 10

i saw them last year in Hyde Park for BBC radio 2 summer festival, it was actually my last concert before Covid, i had seen them live 5 times before that, Royal albert hall (twice), O2 London (2013) , Brussels (festival ) , Lebanon( Byblos festival ), and i can tell you they definitly get better with age...

i’m so gutted the Pet Shop Boys didnt make it into the top 10.... they are one of the best pop bands in history...

Kylie’s Santa baby is at 26 on the spotify charts which is the highest shes ever been... bodes well for a repeak this year...

gay or not, its really hard for any male star to come out as gay or bi since it would end his career especially if his target audience is mostly teen & female...just look at what happened to Lil Nas X... while female stars admit they’re bi whether its true or not just to appear as cool or hip....

it wouldnt be Christmas without christmas songs clogging up the charts...

so happy that Kylie’s Santa Baby is repeaking at 36... such an amazing version... her original At Christmas should chart as well, an underrated classic... where’s DISCO in the album charts this week?

totally agree on Jessie Ware & Roisin’s album, two pop electro disco masterpieces... when i mean Dua’s album should’ve been more successful i mean internationally and not just in the Uk....

compared to the quality of the album, Dua’s Future Nostalgia should have been a lot more succesful... but then again it was released in the midst of a global pandemic & a lockdown, therefore it could’ve had more worldwide impact in normal times....

actually some of the best music has been released this year, amazing pop albums from Dua Lipa, Kylie, Jessie Ware, Steps, Ava Max, Sam Smith etc but the problem is with the streaming based chart which favors the same artists thanks to having them featured on every possible playlist hence the inflated streaming numbers for artists such as Ariana, Bieber, Drake etc.... so its not surprising to have the same artists at number 1 ... and that doesnt mean that theres isnt any good music released, the problem is lack of exposure for good music...

Bananarama are amazing, they have released some of the best pop songs in history. “Venus”, “I heard a rumor”, “Love in the first degree” , “Cruel summer” etci hoped they would be top 20... obviously anyone making fun of their music should give their greatest hits a listen, so many great songs in their discography... i saw them live 2 years ago or so, they are amazing and still have so much energy on stage ....

any news on Kylie’s album & Santa Baby?

i can’t believe Haim are above Bon Jovi, Blur and Erasure...😱

the album is quite disappointing... nothing interesting except the 2 singles...

why is Tate’s song a massive hit is beyond me!!! sounds like a reject from a has been 90s singer .... dont get the hype

i can’t believe that Busted and The Wanted are above the Rolling Stones, Bee Gees, Aerosmith, Duran Duran and Roxette etc...

i thought Justin & Shawn Mendes collaboration will peak a lot higher than Miley/Dua’s duet, given that it has performed way better worldwide.... Ariana’s song shouldn’t have stayed this long at number 1, its one of her weakest tracks...

+10 Kylie Minogue - Spinning Around +09 Kylie Minogue – Can’t get you out of my head +08 Kylie Minogue – I should be so lucky +07 Kylie Minogue – Slow +06 Kylie Minogue - Especially For you +05 Kylie Minogue - Hand On your heart +04 Michael Jackson – Billie Jean +03 George Michael - Careless Whispers +02 Michael Jackson - Black or white +01 Michael Jackson - Earth song

DISCO and by far....

i’m rooting for Ava Max, catchy single... as much as i love Dua Lipa, Miley Cyrus’ voice annoys me and the video is horrible too...

flash in the pan act???? they’re one of the biggest acts in history, they have 4 US number 1s and several top 10, which is a huge achievement for a non american band... not to mention they were huge all around the world scoring top 10 hits in the 80s , 90s ,2000s and 2010s not to mention world successful tours in more than 60 countries...

i thought Roxette would be higher... one of the greatest bands in history...
