Ava Max, Dua Lipa and Harry styles songs are definitely the best ones...

i think 45k sounds more reasonable, sales are down 75% from 2015 and besides the lead single was a flop, so i dont think it will sell more than 50k...

to be fair, Lift me up is her worst song.... while What I am is not even Emma's song, it a cover of Edie Brickel... so

the 80s of course... most good music was released in that decade...

there’s a million exemples since the 1960s of songs which were huge in the US and did nothing in the Uk... even now with the US charts becoming very hip hop dominated, most of these songs barely make the charts here or anywhere else, except Canada maybe... Just look at any Billboard year end chart from 1985 till 2010 and you’ll find that most of the songs didnt make the UK charts or didnt even go top 40...

Lana will probably do around 20-25k, Bon Iver maybe 15 k, Tool a bit less, so Lana del Rey is probably gonna snatch it...

but also streaming playlists are manipulated by record labels same thing with radio playlists, so i dont see why you should count one and discount the other...

its still way better than adding endless ready made playlists, at least with airplay you have a variety of genres which are never included in spotify playlists...

the 3 song cap is also ridiciulous, instead of this silly rule why not seperate album streams and playlist streams from song streams, that way you wouldn’t have albums by Ed Sheeran or Drake or ready made playlists flooding the charts... and the only songs that chart would be the ones streamed by music fans...

as long as they’re changing all these rules, why not add airplay, at least it helps other genres reach the chart, rock and alternative have been absent from the chart since downloads became dominant in the mid 2000’s, and also this would help older artists who get plays on radio stations like Radio 2...

i think he will sell about 90-95k... which is very good in this day and age...

such a shame... if it was the 90s i’m sure he would have scored 10 top 5 hits at least, but due to the overwhelming influence of streaming, this style of music is seldom represented in the chart...

i thought Madonna will at least scrape the hot 100 thanks to youtube views of her Billboard music awards performance, but i guess they didnt count them...

i think it will sell between 7-8k and reach the top 10.... she has released far too many greatest hits albums...most fans already own the 2012 version, and the 3 new tracks are not enough to generate interest....

new songs by kylie and Madonna during the same week...a gay man’s dream come true... i love the Kylie song though, should’ve been a lead single from a new studio album... Madonna’s single is underwhelming, i expected more after the atrocity that was Medellin...

its a bit of both... music quality and originality has regressed since the 80s and 90s, and even the 2000s.. there are some good music released but its mostly rehashes of old songs... if u look at the top 40 now and the top 40 from 10,20 or 30 years ago u’ll notice that big gap between the old songs and the new ones...
