  1. Glad that Dua Lipa's IDGAF made the US Hot 100 year end chart even though it never reached the top 40... must be a new record...

2018 has been a relatively uneventful year in mainstream music, yet there was many good song & album releases most of which fell under the public radar... so please post your top 10 songs of the year 2018, and include all singles released in 2018 or any album tracks included in 2018 album releases. Add your top 10 here and include, if possible, youtube links to these songs... Here is my top 10 songs of 2018: 1.Music's too sad without you- Kylie Minogue Ftr Jack Savoretti qsb1SuvUT9Q 2.Side Effects- The Chainsmokers Ftr Emily Warren nuckTcoZG4Q 3.Friends - Marshmello & Anne Marie jzD_yyEcp0M 4.The First Pةn!s I Saw - Crazy Ex-Girlfriend Cast V36c809pVLA 5.Stop me From Falling- Kylie Minogue Ftr Gente De Zona pMv5vuSHMsU 6.Fast Slow Disco - St Vincent dNm0b2SCXxY 7.The Joke - Brandi Carlisle 5r6A2NexF88 8.Candlelight- Jack Savoretti XM6QxFSO-aY 9.Hourglass- Alice Chater IZ_IXA-x4hA 10. 4. She reached number 39 globally just yesterday and number 81 in US spotify with 1.1 million streams which is a first for her... It was probably added to many US spotify playlists as the Santa Baby of choice...
  5. Which two artists would you like to see collaborate in 2019?? . It can be a singer/producer collaboration, or a singer/singer duet, or a singer/DJ/rapper feature, any kind of collaboration you would like to see happen in 2019. PS:it has to be a new collaboration, the 2 artists shouldn't have already collaborated before. For me: - Kylie Minogue & Madonna this could be a gay dream come true, especially since Madonna's new album is slated for an early 2019 release. A dance single will do nicely thanks. -Calvin Harris & Ariana Grande i would love to see Ariana perform high NRG dance songs for once -Marshmello & Rihanna hopefully Rihanna will return in style this year with a dance album for a change similar to Loud but even funkier -Britney Spears & Bruno Mars Britney needs a big name to return her to the upper positions in the charts. and who better than Bruno to pull it off? -Kygo & Adele Adele needs to make a comeback this year and come out of her comfort zone with a different sound. Kygo is one of the best producers at the moment and can help introduce Adele to a new sound -Charli XCX & Taylor Swift after the relative underwhelming success of her last album, Taylor needs to collaborate with new and edgy songwriters, Charli comes to mind. -Clean Bandit & Dua Lipa This could be another surefire number 1 hit for both artists -Mark Ronson Ftr Lana Del Rey she needs the hit after her last two albums failed to produce a hit, and Mark's latest collaboration with Miley had that vintage 70s pop rock sound, so a Lana Del Rey collab could fit in well. -
  6. i was torn between God's Plan and In my feelings, but then i decided the latter is the worst of the two...
  7. 2018 was, according to many music critics, arguably one of the worst years in music :puke2: especially regarding quality and variety. There have been a lot of undeserving number 1's and a lot of songs which stayed at number 1 longer than they should due to the lack of big new releases... so which number 1 was in your opinion the worst of the worst and why?
  8. since 1989... but the past few years i've lost interest...
  9. they should promote Kylie's Christmas album, such an underrated Christmas classic...
  10. they should have the 3 song per artist cap rule like in the UK, and they should lessen the ratio of streaming in the charts and heighten the ratio of airplay and downloads since streaming only benefits rap and hip hop which makes the charts boring and stale, while airplay benefits pop.... the US chart has become pointless.... 25 Lil Wayne songs, 25 Drake songs, 20 Post Malone songs in a single week, thats crazy...not to mention songs that stay in the charts for 60 weeks and more, they should do something about it....
  11. they should change the chart name from Billboard Chart to Drake's greatest hits... all i see is Drake songs in there... and pop is not even existent in the charts anymore, it's all about rap and hip hop...
  12. So Kylie did all this promotion in the States and her album didnt even manage to stay in the Billboard top 200... Awful results...
  13. Happy to see Gabrielle back in the charts after 11 years... one of the greatest and most successful british female singers of all time...
  14. They should implement the 3 songs cap rule in the US, in order to remove all the unnecessary album stream take over on the singles charts, because its making the chart awful with all these Cardi B, Drake and next week's J.Cole invasion...
  15. Basically any female above 30, and any british non rapper male above 30...
  16. I love him and love the song... hopefully it can reach the top 20 soon after airplay increases...
  17. It's ageism
  18. Best video she has ever done period
  19. Here comes the kylie haters... :puke2: I'm hopeful it will be a hit in Latin america and parts of Europe... the Uk less likely...
  20. It didnt work for Janet why should it work for her...
  21. Yes but she needs someone with international fame, she needs an international hit at this point to promote her world tour, and not just content herself with only being successful in the UK...she will not tour the rest of the world unless she scores another CGYOOMH or another All the Lovers... I would suggest Lil UZi Vert, or XXXTentacion or Drake or Cardi B, or anyone with an international relevance...
  22. Yes they should even for YouTube, but they should only count official videos and audios and not fan made ones...
  23. The charts have changed so much that u cant compare it to 10-15 years ago... in the 90s and 2000s , they were several new entries per week in the top 40, now we only have one or two, and many new successful songs struggle to make the top 40 because of streaming which really slows down the chart... so back in the day a number 42 song was considered a flop, now its considered as a minor hit...hence the now inclusion...
  24. The difference is that madonna's last big hits were in 2005-2007 when Cd singles still sold loads, and therefore there was a lot of older acts scoring big hits. u cannot compAre that era to now. Its a totally different story now.
  25. If streaming is being so heavily counted into the chart then radio airplay and Youtube streams should also be added, only fair , the charts will be more accurate and diverse then...
