Virtual Book of British Hit Singles - "C"
I believe the Cage Against The Machine version of 4'33" was officially a different 'recording' to John Cage's original.

Latest time in the week that a song reached itunes number 1
Sak Noel - Loca People was the last song to reach #1 officially without ever being I-Tunes #1. Script - Hall Of Fame reached #1 on I-Tunes for the first time (no pun intended!) on Thursday 13/9/2012 and reached #1 officially that Sunday.

Top 100 Best Selling Dance Singles of The 90s
Had never really noticed the similarity between the two songs. Interestingly, 1999 was the year of a big Abba 'revival' (25th anniversary of their debut), with Gold returning to #1, the Thank Abba For The Music medley, and the A*Teens covers.

Acts you were certain would be huge...
Has Mika been mentioned? He was a bit similar to Duffy - a huge first album, then a poor first-single-from-second-album.

Top 100 Best Selling Dance Singles of The 90s
Minor error - Chemical Brothers had been as high as #13 prior to Setting Sun (with Loops Of Fury EP, which left the top 75 the following week). Great thread so far, though!

Acts that you were certain would be one hit wonders...
I wasn't around at the time, but BA Robertson - Bang Bang is a song that seems to have "one-hit wonder" written over it - however he did have several other hits afterwards.

Big Hits 2012's final hit was Last Night (Beer Fear). Big Time Charlie's second hit was Mr Devil. Black Rebel Motorcycle Club - Ain't No Easy Way has its final letter missing. Keep up the good work!

'Skipped' UK Top 40 Hits
A couple of other tracks that were not played in full on the chart show: Depeche Mode - A Pain That I Am Used To (they played Lillian by mistake) Iron Maiden - Different World (charted in the post-Christmas chart when they did the year-end chart plus a quick rundown of the weekly chart) David Gilmour - Arnold Layne (ditto) Elvis Presley - My Baby Left Me (for some reason they played Heartbreak Hotel instead, which does have those lyrics at the start) Celine Dion - Taking Chances (not sure why)

Beenie Man's 2001 hit should be Girls Dem Sugar. Cathy Newell's DOB is 14/7/82 according to Bellefire's Wikipedia article. Other than that, great stuff!

Virtual Book of British Hit Singles - "B"
Baha Men are from Bahamas. BT had a #38 hit in 2000 with Dreaming, which appears to be missing from his list. Other than that, great stuff!

Too many featured artists?
The Complete Book Of The British Charts (a reference book published around the start of the millennium) had a policy whereby if there was only 1 guest artist credited, the track would be listed in the histories of both the main and guest artists, but if there was more than 1 guest artist, then only the main artist would get the hit.

Songs that will reach 1 million sales in 2014

Return to No.1
There were some exceptions, such as You Should Be Dancing and Silver Star. And in the early 1980s we had Say Say Say, which jumped up to #3 having appeared to have peaked at #10.

Is FGTH-The Power Of Love an Xmas song?
Other songs that are not particularly Christmas-related but are associated with Christmas: Jona Lewie - Stop The Cavalry (although it does mention Christmas at one point) Freiheit - Keeping The Dream Alive

Chart/POTP Show Presenters since 1955
I'm pretty sure Westwood never hosted the show on his own in 2003 - I think Scott Mills did the first 5 weeks of 2003. And I seem to remember Joel doing one show on his own (without JK) in late 2006.

Same title, different songs in the Top 2 / 3 / w/e
2 songs called Feel It entered and peaked at #41 in consecutive weeks in February 1995 (Hi-Lux and Carol Bailey). 2 songs called Deeper Love entered and peaked at #19 in consecutive weeks in May 1998 (Ruff Driverz and BBE - although the latter had (Symphonic Paradise) after it). Coincidentally a song called Feel It was #1 in the latter week. Week ending 15/7/00 saw Steps - Summer Of Love (a double A-side with When I Said Goodbye) at #5, and Lonyo - Summer Of Love at #19 (down from #8). Korn - Here To Stay charted at #12 in 2002 only 5 weeks after New Order's song of the same name charted at #15. Week ending 28/12/02 had new entries called Wolf (Shy FX at #60) and The Wolf (Dave Clarke at #66). Status Quo - Thinking Of You entered at #21 in 2004 only one week after Paul Weller charted at #18 with a song of the same title.
