Horror Scene

This is so true. I'm so scared about making another mistake like People Like Us last season i.e. picking a song I don't actually like but thinking is a fan-favourite only to get panned by the voters.

Finally decided on my next choice. I hope it's a hit.

Calvin 1 point from being joint-top with himself. The female Swedes are nice and comfortable in the middle of the pack this time after a rocky start. Mackenzie had no chance omg!

Play me that crescendo.

Faye.

The Vengabus has crashed. Not the only Dutch act being eliminated during the Dutch stop of the tour. I'm ready for them to Boom Boom Boom Boom in front of Gamu. Sadly never got into Mackenzie but always good to have an unknown underdog type entering. This week's Milica song was really good so it's sad she fell victim to the female category bloodbath. As for round 3, great theme idea for this early on and good way to stop Adele playing another smash. Just a shame my fave has good taste in picking singles. I'm sure Team Leona are elated though.

I did wonder a theme was coming. Intrigued!

What a week for Danceterias!

Looking forward to the results later! I reckon Mackenzie and the Vengaboys could be in danger in their respective categories. As for the women… I noticed Dido was getting a lot of 1’s at one point.

Already scared for my pop entry. Maybe I need to switch to alt.

How do I hide posts from the OP?

Do it. I need as many pop hoes as possible assembling.

Exactly my thought! I usually hate self-titled albums but in this case it’s welcome: reclaiming their band name after the indignity of only having rights to it on gift wrap lmao.

Unconditional is a bit of a shock early exit. I thought it was a general fave! FUFN again. Not bad - the others just all have something more to them for me.

Confirmed something but I'll keep fishing in case something better appears.

A first attempt. Decided to add a not-so-cryptic clue about my next entry.

Calvin should seek revenge by dropping We Found Love next round. All solo males obliterated.

1 Sam Fender - Saturday I doubt Sam F will ever truly underwhelm me. He's such a talent and this song is no exception. 2 Tom Grennan - Before You another great offering from Tom - one that grew considerably with repeated listens. His voice on this track is SO GOOD. 3 Roosevelt - Take Me Back (Midnight Version) out of all the acts in this competition that I've never heard of before - he's definitely the one impressing me the most. Great selection again. 4 Lewis Capaldi - Forget Me he is another whose vocals just elevate any track. This is another solid selection. 5 Calvin Harris & Sam Smith - Promises lmao at the hastiness to play this before team Calvin. A bop! 6 Darin feat. Kat DeLuna - Breathing Your Love much prefer this to last round's choice. 7 Gary Numan - I Die: You Die conversely not loving this as much as last round's choice but still good! 8 Calvin Harris - Summer this song has never done it for me - maybe severe radio overplay back in the day did that. I hope his earlier solo hits emerge at some point. 9 HRVY - 1 Day 2 Nights it's ok but not really my thing. 10 Damien Rice - Woman Like a Man I couldn't get into this. 11 Mackenzy Mackay - London I have nothing nice to say about this (sorry).

Votes sent! Really enjoyed this edition.

So here for this!

…which begins tonight?
