Omg I fell so behind with this! Just caught up and can’t fault that number 1. BR has really stood the test of time and has so much packed into its 5(?) minutes. I probably would’ve ordered the other Gaga songs the same - though there’s not much between JD and PF for me. I probably would’ve had the BEP singles in the opposite order though. Maybe BBP benefits from not being as overplayed as IGF but there’s something so annoyingly repetitive about the latter for me. Thanks Jim - really loved reading your in-depth posts on each song. ❤️

Yeah this was never one I really enjoyed tbh. Some Girls and Sweet Dreams… are far superior. I’m guessing Some Girls wasn’t up for grabs being for Sports Relief and all?

Not listened to her album yet but would be so willing for Melanie C to get that elusive solo #1 album! She’s always been my favourite Spice (though Posh gives her a run for her money these days ).

That’s about right for TIWWDF imo. A solid euro pop/dance bop but not one of my absolute faves from the album. I’d probably rank it middle amongst the Encore tracks (below Church, Use Me and If My Heart Was A House).

Totally agree! Hopefully it can get some new love for its 50th anniversary in a couple years. Working’ Day and Night, Get On The Floor and the title track need some attention. ❤️

I never really paid too much attention to her music but I remember Free being featured on the Xbox racing game Blur that I played at the time. A bit of a trash bop. 🫢
