Unconditional is a bit of a shock early exit. I thought it was a general fave! FUFN again. Not bad - the others just all have something more to them for me.

Confirmed something but I'll keep fishing in case something better appears.

A first attempt. Decided to add a not-so-cryptic clue about my next entry.

Calvin should seek revenge by dropping We Found Love next round. All solo males obliterated.

1 Sam Fender - Saturday I doubt Sam F will ever truly underwhelm me. He's such a talent and this song is no exception. 2 Tom Grennan - Before You another great offering from Tom - one that grew considerably with repeated listens. His voice on this track is SO GOOD. 3 Roosevelt - Take Me Back (Midnight Version) out of all the acts in this competition that I've never heard of before - he's definitely the one impressing me the most. Great selection again. 4 Lewis Capaldi - Forget Me he is another whose vocals just elevate any track. This is another solid selection. 5 Calvin Harris & Sam Smith - Promises lmao at the hastiness to play this before team Calvin. A bop! 6 Darin feat. Kat DeLuna - Breathing Your Love much prefer this to last round's choice. 7 Gary Numan - I Die: You Die conversely not loving this as much as last round's choice but still good! 8 Calvin Harris - Summer this song has never done it for me - maybe severe radio overplay back in the day did that. I hope his earlier solo hits emerge at some point. 9 HRVY - 1 Day 2 Nights it's ok but not really my thing. 10 Damien Rice - Woman Like a Man I couldn't get into this. 11 Mackenzy Mackay - London I have nothing nice to say about this (sorry).

Votes sent! Really enjoyed this edition.

So here for this!

…which begins tonight?

I hope we get the J2 lead early next year!

Could this coincide with a BRITs performance? I hope so!

Will aim to be there!

Surely somewhere in the 90s. 💀

1 Texas - I Don't Want a Lover this is a fantastic selection! *adds to playlist* Intrigued to see what else they bring to the table. 2 Vengaboys - 1999 (I Wanna Go Back) their mentor is definitely flirting with danger here but I can't deny it's still an all out bop and sounds so fun against these songs. 3 Ultravox - The Voice another really enjoyable cut from these guys. 4 Sade - Your Love is King last round's selection didn't click with me but this is a big step-up imo. Surprisingly enjoyed this a lot. 5 Bananarama - Look on the Floor (Hypnotic Tango) this is another big step-up imo. Great production! 6 New Order - Age of Consent again, I much prefer this selection to their last one. 7 Depeche Mode - Ghosts Again another solid choice from DM. 8 iamamiwhoami - chasing kites I enjoyed this one but it got a bit lost in the pack for me. 9 Fontaines D.C. - Jackie Down the Line another one I enjoyed and expected to rank high - until I listened to the others oops. 10 Years & Years - All For You this is ok. Probably a smart choice to play this now rather than later. 11 M83 - Kim & Jessie this is not for me (sorry).

This just gets better with repeated listens. I see Jon Shave produced this one too: they need to stick with him!

The CD is already sold out on HMV lmao! https://hmv.com/search?searchtext=sugababes&searchcategory=

I don't know what I predicted originally but just revoted top 5 - I can see it entering as high as 3 depending on the competition. A 3rd #1 album would be incredible though - especially 20 years after their last!

I’m loving this!! The production is fab. ❤️

I mean, if CMAT can promote a year-old album this season, I don’t see why Jade can’t? 😋

Just sent 5 votes Chelsey’s way. I hope they reveal the percentage on Friday.

Ten Walls.

Oops didn’t do too brilliantly in the end. 🥲 Well done dandy* and Spiceboy - and to Lee for getting bronze. Thoroughly enjoyed this quiz once again. Thank you Mango!

Omg didn’t even think of Iron Maiden! Tbh I don’t really know what I was thinking on that one lol.

Oops I think I put the Girls Aloud one for most guessed.

I’d argue they didn’t feel like dancing because they decided to do some cutting under a disco ball of all things.

1 MARINA - Froot one of my absolute favourites from Marina - also one of two clear standouts from the album for me. Hopefully the other one gets played at some point. 2 Sophie Ellis-Bextor - Me and My Imagination one of my favourites from Sophie and should've been a top 10 for her. The melodies throughout never leave my brain. 3 Adele - Rolling in the Deep now we're talking! While I found Hello to be a bit contrived, this is a storm of a song. Those vocals! 4 Agnes - EGO another bop from Agnes here. One of the standout tracks from her recent album. 5 Robyn - Hang With Me great production on this one. A solid choice for round 2. 6 Milica Pavlović - Crna jutra (Balkan S&M) liking this one more than her last choice. Very catchy and fun. 7 Kate Bush - The Man With the Child in His Eyes another solid choice from Kate. 8 Leona Lewis - Come Alive oops didn't expect to rank this so low (testament to the quality of this category!) - totally get the logic here in sending this though. 9 Zara Larsson - Ain't My Fault oops again: I thought I'd be ranking this higher but here we are. Really love the chorus though. 10 Dido - Take My Hand enjoyed the instrumentation on this one but doesn't leave as much of an impression on me compared to the others. 11 Jessie Ware - If You're Never Gonna Move the only one in this category that I didn't enjoy. Sorry!
