I’d argue they didn’t feel like dancing because they decided to do some cutting under a disco ball of all things. -
1 MARINA - Froot one of my absolute favourites from Marina - also one of two clear standouts from the album for me. Hopefully the other one gets played at some point. 2 Sophie Ellis-Bextor - Me and My Imagination one of my favourites from Sophie and should've been a top 10 for her. The melodies throughout never leave my brain. 3 Adele - Rolling in the Deep now we're talking! While I found Hello to be a bit contrived, this is a storm of a song. Those vocals! 4 Agnes - EGO another bop from Agnes here. One of the standout tracks from her recent album. 5 Robyn - Hang With Me great production on this one. A solid choice for round 2. 6 Milica Pavlović - Crna jutra (Balkan S&M) liking this one more than her last choice. Very catchy and fun. 7 Kate Bush - The Man With the Child in His Eyes another solid choice from Kate. 8 Leona Lewis - Come Alive oops didn't expect to rank this so low (testament to the quality of this category!) - totally get the logic here in sending this though. 9 Zara Larsson - Ain't My Fault oops again: I thought I'd be ranking this higher but here we are. Really love the chorus though. 10 Dido - Take My Hand enjoyed the instrumentation on this one but doesn't leave as much of an impression on me compared to the others. 11 Jessie Ware - If You're Never Gonna Move the only one in this category that I didn't enjoy. Sorry!

If we’re getting Calvin solos, I hope some of his 2007 singles appear.

That current leader shouldn’t be leading. 😢

Adele, Zara, Marina, Agnes, Sophie and Leona are all bringing it this round. Holy sheet. I don’t know the rest (yet).

I have no sympathy for her tbh. 😬
ALMA
Dido over 400 pts omfg. 🥹 Really wasn’t close in the end in any of the categories.
Just a thought (inspired by Tove’s early exit) - could artists who are eliminated early be eligible to compete in future seasons? Just seems a waste of their discography otherwise.
That would be the perfect bottom three if Glitch was taken out of the equation. FUFN now. Not bad by any stretch but everything else is far more appealing whereas I find it quite plain by JADE’s standards.
The results board will be interesting to see. If Zara was indeed bottom two, I wonder how tight the margin was. 🫣 I expect DOA and Bladee to be firm bottoms in their categories (yes, there are many bottoms in the male category ).
Aww shame I won’t be discovering more from Tove (unless she comes back). Very left-field song choice there though! Just imagine if we lost Zara round 1 lmao. Fully expect to see Lush Life in round 2. 😂
Yay Agnes is safe! She didn’t deserve to leave off the back of Selfmade.
This category is the most unforgiving for sure!
She’d have to be bottom two for that.
Milica on her Little Mix trajectory?
3 British powerhouses through! No surprises there.
I think we know what Dead Or Alive’s song will be for that.
Another Swede lives another day!
Think it’s out of DOA or kitchen to go.
Awww sorry to see Bladee go even if I wasn’t keen on the song. Hope their mentor isn’t too disappointed. Some amazing groups through! Glad to see New Order make it even if I wasn’t so keen on that song. Obvious yay to Vengaboys.
