Poor Olly. Though I agree Dizzy is generic compared to a lot of the other entries and his vocals, while far better at the final than at the semi, aren’t really strong enough for a vocal moment. I think next year they should send Alexandra Burke. The UK public might not like her much but other Europeans might!

Next year’s UK entry will hopefully be a mix of strong vocals, a WOW song and visually electrifying performance (like Ireland’s this year). Someone said earlier about a rock/opera act - brilliant idea!

Switzerland wasn’t my favourite but glad a non-problematic country won for the sake of the contest if nothing else. They really need to ban countries involved in war for next year to remove the political vote. To think a lot of Israel voters probably didn’t/don’t watch Eurovision!

So the jury vote saved the UK from complete embarrassment and also prevented an Israel win :clap:

But if the way of Israel not winning is for people to vote for someone else then why is the campaign not for that, mobilising around another entry, instead of withdrawing altogether and clearing the road for an Israel victory which will only ultimately increase their sphere of influence?

 

I don't understand how this is different from when a dangerous electoral candidate is standing, deciding to not vote, even knowing that then damnsyou to live under that person's rule.

 

Wouldn't mass withdrawals split the anti-Israel vote less ways - giving the chosen one more chance of beating them?

The streaming/sales breakdown comparison with FN indicates that although Dua’s core fanbase has grown quite a bit from era-to-era, casual fans (more likely to stream) aren’t so impressed.

I can't see Israel getting much from the televote or the jury. Ireland will win jury vote. France's latest ballad is overhyped. Juries still haven't caught on tot he fact that those always flop these days.you can remove it from the odds for a clearer picture.

 

I think Israel is getting spammed in the bookies due to people thinking it eill ge tthe sympsthy vote after being booed. It eon't. If the vote DOES!! turn political, then Ireland will ALSO heavily benefit.

 

I’m actually so tempted to place a £10 bet on Ireland at 25/1. :unsure: something about it screams winner.

Definitely up there with Euphoria and Tattoo for me. Manifesting she performs this tomorrow and it blows up on streaming :kink: she’d get a 3-2-1 chart peak history.

Great tracklist and glad none of the lesser successful hits (Nobody’s Home, KHO, Losing Grip) were excluded unlike some other artists. But yes Hot and WYWH should’ve been on there too! I hope it’s on vinyl as my CD player is broken lol.
