  1. 2013 for a few reasons:

    * the huge sales climate especially during the spring and summer with Need U 100% > Get Lucky > La La La > Blurred Lines > Wake Me Up > I Love It all getting 100k+ a week IIRC.

    * the House revival with Disclosure, Duke Dumont, Wankelmut, Breach etc. I much preferred that trend to the crap that took over in 2015 (Waves, Lost Frequencies etc).

    * great Christmas originals such as One More Sleep and Underneath The Tree.

    * Miley becoming an icon.

    * Beyonce dropping Beyonce.

    * Justin Timberlake's long overdue return.

    * VMAs - Miley/Robin, JT medley, Same Love.

    * Ding Dong The Witch Is Dead hitting #2. :lol:

    16 in midweeks, it's over for her. This era at least.

    Bit premature. :lol: Tbf though if the label aren't competent enough to handle the release, they probably aren't competent enough to recover it successfully. My Oh My needs to be pushed ASAP with new single mixes and all.

    Hopefully she has some UK promo. Syco should be trying harder since she's their only artist these days.

  3. I'm delighted she's been received so warmly by the public. I wasn't aware of a bad perception of her prior to IAC but knew about the issues she had with Chimola. Hopefully her stint has shown those 3 band members that she's likeable and the suggestion of a Steps-esque reunion show/tour/album would be amazing. They ruled the 00's pop landscape so the demand would be there.
  4. On first impressions, My Oh My is the obvious standout from the album. Probably the closest thing to a Havana type hit. The "he's only here for one thing but (so am I)" line :heart: I hope Camila pushes this in the new year with a killer video. This Love is cute too but not in a big hit kind of way. Kind of reminds me of Rih's Love On The Brain musically.

  8. I would only want her to go back to Syco if her management can negotiate a better contract for her with a new team (not sure how easy that would be lol). The two pros of going back to Syco are 1. the label being far past its heyday with top priority acts like LM and 1D gone and XF is dying a death 2. they presumably own the rights to CWL and I'd be well up for a second Christmas edition/Mr Right promo. :lol:

    As for XF All Stars I'm in two minds. I think she'll deliver the goods and impress, but she set the bar so high for herself in 2006 and social media can be so cruel. :lol: But from the live performances she's done this year, she should be on form so fingers crossed. She just has to do Summertime again. The thought of it gives me goosebumps!!

  9. It's not one of theirs that I'd personally go back to, and it's not in the same league as LMLY, Power, Touch, WLM, but it has the tools to get the GP on board... and the promo is there. Hopefully this isn't a sign of what their next album will be like but with a new label and new A&R this is all we have to go on... Definitely better than Only You though.
  10. This is by far my favourite Katy song since 2011!! Nothing since besides Swish Swish has excited me as much as this. It's the perfect comeback track (and video) for her - mature, catchy, not OTT, not too leftfield, full of character. I'd love for this to be Katy's 6th #1 - but in this climate I won't get my hopes up. That Chorus!!!! :wub:
  11. A Camila Cabello forum could do wonders - more so than some of the new ones imo. She had a big first era, along with a worldwide smash, and CC2 is probably coming later this year or early 2020. I see her as 1 of 3 major pop starlets alongside Ari and Dua who both have their own forum. Make it happen!! (please)

    Ugh so many amazing songs I started to get strict with my scores. :lol: The 11 was hard to choose - Bohemian Rhapsody, Billie Jean, Bleeding Love and Umbrella all nearly got it.

  13. Bad Romance

    The Edge Of Glory

    Bad Romance

    I'd rank Telephone, Alejandro, Paparazzi, Judas, TEOG, Marry The Night and Y&I all above the BR video. The single cover is marvellous though - very spooky! I appreciate BR did amazing things for Gaga but TEOG is one of my personal faves. Such an anthem!

    Lorde - Team (29, after Royals)

    Daft Punk - Lose Yourself to Dance (49, after Get Lucky)

    Unsure whether Icona Pop's UK follow-up to I Love It was All Night - which peaked at 31 - or Girlfriend which did not chart. Neither are great outcomes.

    If Gotye ever released a follow-up to STIUTK, it never charted.

    If we're looking at albums (OP never specified :P) Robin Thicke went from one end of the top 200 to the other. :lol: Blurred Lines peaked at #1 with follow-up Paula only managing #200!

  15. I can't actually believe how bloody dumb Corey is. Dane was sketchy af earlier in the week, sh!tt!ng bricks. Hasn't she (or anyone) cottoned on that there's a 4-guy alliance yet?! I was no fan of Sam at first but her fight has warmed me to her recently - especially as she's one of the few to see through Dane now. The likes of Este and Corey are going to feel very stupid when they discover where they really stand in Dane's mind.

    At least the beginning of the HOH last night looked like Dane was struggling. I would love a Mark win for the sheer drama and uproar. Time is ticking and the PB's are going to rule the vote from now if two aren't on the block come eviction night. Hopefully there's either a public vote twist or a battle back (with Sam winning).
