Billie Eilish might debut top-10? Also we have a J-Hus bomb, but I don’t see it troubling the official top-10. Will debut high, but will tumble down through the week. But I think Jorja Smith will also overtake. So PP should be above above I Can See You and maybe Pakistan, and beyond Little Things, Popular, Fukumean and maybe Billie and J-Hus. That makes it around 11-14 with steady streaming (maybe -1-2% again) and sales falling. Hopefully another 20k+ week!

Tbh I never expected Padam to be number one on pure sales on the 8th (!) week of release! The sales are generally much more frontloaded than streaming is (which is why precisely ACR concept was invented).

Oh come on, drip feeding another remix to the line isn’t anything super big, no need to be patronising :P I’ll be happy to receive more info of the future strategy if it comes, even if it doesn’t turn out to be 💯 true, things often change!

There's no way it will open with less than 40k. If anything, 'Golden' is an indicator with 48k sold. That was without the inflation of the chart battle and would probably be a rough indicator of how much DISCO would sell without a chart battle and pushed forward cassettes. Also it had a minor hit 'Dancing'. I'd say 50k+ is a given. Maybe 60-70k? Like Tommie said, this could sell more physical copies to the GP now, judging by the popularity of 'Padam' in iTunes.

But I thought the market had declined by less? Overall singles sales are down 2.43% week-on-week to 26,590,593 units – an 11-week low but 13.09% above same week 2022 consumption of 23,513,238 units. Paid-for sales are down 7.46% week-on-week at 305,099 – 8.44% below same week 2022 sales of 333,215. This makes streaming sales of this week of 26,285,494 units, and the previous week the streaming was 26,923,413. That makes a 2.37% decline. And Kylie had an estimated 2.54% decline. She avoided ACR, if the streamed for the previous week were less then 20,092 units, which is possible, but not certain. Happy to be proved wrong though!

It indeed would make sense to release it in August! 11th or 18th but they will release it on Thursday anyway. It will still probably be properly outshined by Padam, but at least will be given some chance to breathe on its own. Probably Padam will still outchart the single number two even on ACR though, unless they release the CDs simultaneously. I really feel they knew Padam would be a hit of some sorts (just not that big), and therefore released it earlier than usual to let it properly shine, which it did! And now I think the 3rd single will have more chances to be a hit than the 2nd, but obviously I'd love to get as many top-40s from the era as possible. But I keep thinking... I remember the panic of the leaks when the era started, many fans thought the era would be already doomed. Then we were mad at BMG for releasing on a Thursday and possibly ruining the only chance of it going top-40... and here we are! A multi-week top-10, as well as an easy future 100-millioner on Spotify (her 3rd!); the leaks got unnoticed or even helped the hype of the release (see 'Tension' floating around on Twitter), and we are talking the biggest BMG debut for Kylie.

The Loco-Motion also joined the 50M Spotify club! Her second song pre-2000's to do so after 'Where the Wild Roses Grow'.

I can see her overtaking at least one of the Taylor tracks, but at the same time 0800 Heaven and maybe Pakistan overtaking her! Still, hopefully another top-10 is on lock.

Weird Spotify update, but this guy has uploaded ‘Baby’ (the b-side of CGYOOMH) as a fake “leaked” Kylie song from ‘Barbie’ soundtrack on Twitter, MANY have fallen for it and now he tracks its progress :lol: @1677668133396512769

For what it’s worth, I heard it in one of the restaurants in Mexico City the other day. :lol: Tbh the song did its job and will contribute a bit of extra streaming points for the album. It’s also one of the better performing of recent Oliver tracks.

It’s funny how it fell both in Audio streaming and video streaming, yet climbed on streaming overall.

Taylor and DBE will have a huge first day (maybe pushing Kylie out of the Spotify top-50), but they should fall quite quickly. I’d say ‘Pakistan’ will stay in front and maybe one re-released Taylor track too. That will make number 9 for Kylie. A bit by default, but Kylie had some very tough week before.

There’s also never ending saga of ‘As It Was’ with higher streams than Kylie and still on SCR, hopefully it continues falling and doesn’t bother us much.

To be honest I’m happy with the sales, even if the position is not in the top-10, but it’s not that important anymore! Hopefully another week or two on 20k+ units. Looks like D Block Europe stabilised in the end, they were lagging all week!

Kylie is on 15m monthly streamers on Spotify! And still growing nicely. Hopefully she won’t leave the top-500 artists until the next year at very least.

I don’t see why would they push it more in the UK though? Well maybe on week 9 to get three more weeks in the top-20 and a bit of extra exposure. After that they really need to switch to single 2.

With vinyls I think they can't move a slot forward, given how packed the factories presumably still are. My bet is that they'll release two vinyls for the singles at once, like with DISCO. Or if they see a shortage of LPs to sell (which might happen, as I can see the success of PP boosting the pre-orders of the album), they might switch to produce more of those.

I know - it's as if someone cut the top of the mountain only to let it slide after gaining very fast on the week it got to 9. But I guess we can take what we are given and be thankful for that. I see the weather in London will be gloomy the next chart week, but hopefully it improves in all important week 9, so Kylie doesn't go to DLC-3 that fast.

I think the change is displayed compared to last week, not last month. I mean Dave didn’t go 45-36 in a month. Hopefully Dave will challenge the top of the year. But I don’t see it even coming close to Miley.
