  1. To be honest, I get their concerns — i don’t want the campaign to dive into the usual Radio 2 seas, we will have the future album campaigns for that. The time is now to branch out as wide as possible, and I’m not sure a ‘safe’ emotopop Kylie sound will do that. Everyone is saying it’s a continuation of ‘I Believe in You’ — ‘All the Lovers’ — ‘Say Something’, and I’d leave this type of sound for single 3 and Q4. But I hope they know what they’re doing. Also they can release ‘Tension’ as a buzz track a week before the album to bring up the hype of a ‘clubby’ sound.
  2. So number 11 will easily catch up. Bring the remix on Wednesday to the website!
  3. ^don’t worry, Carol, I was just pointing out the source! Hopefully it doesn’t decline in streams this week.
  4. If it holds on this week, I can see it having a 5th week quite easily, as Calvin, Jazzy, Rudimental and Switch Disco all potentially going ACR! The problem is that if it keeps declining in streaming as well, we may see it going ACR as early as on its 10th week!
  5. It is official Monday midweeks, Carol Honey, look at the Friday Chart Predictions thread
  6. To put into perspective, To reach gold by the end of the year at this point it needs to sell only 10.6k per week averagely, to reach platinum — 18.3k per week. The latter doesn’t look possible, unless it gets a strong second wind, but the former will easily be achieved. For 500k by the end of the year this needs averagely 14.4k per week. This would be touch and go, but also possible. Regardless, at this speed it would be only a matter of time when it will reach 1m. To early to tell, but so far looks like 2025 will be the year for that.
  7. I think they will do the trick again and release the new remix to the website. Hopefully that will keep it above REACT and maybe something else to keep it in the top-10.
  8. Can it stay at 7 please! The good thing is this update doesn’t take a yesterday’s rise on Spotify into account. But I fear it will fall back once the Prode effect wears off.
  9. To pippa: Why? With the physicals it’s definitely looking for a number 2 debut, maybe even at 1 in the first look with the physicals. So far I don’t understand where DBE will debut. On Spotify they’re strong going 4-7. On Apple they’re top-20. If they continue to slide, they probably won’t trouble the top-10, but there’s a good chance they’ll be there too. But we also have Cruel Summer by Taylor Swift at 5 on Spotify and 7 on Apple. Kylie is 11 on Apple and 23 on Spotify atm, but good on Amazon at 7. And of course downloads are good as always.
  10. Top of mine and ‘I Like You’ by Tove Lo is second. I say fall, as I don’t see it being above Olivia Rodrigo, plus Taylor with ‘Cruel Summer’ gaining hard. D Block Europe probably will be above too. The only way it can at least stay is if we have a big boost from pride tomorrow.
  11. Jax Jones remix starts with 43,751 plays. Padam up another 855k though. Now on 28m.
  12. Well in the UK it is getting lower streams for the second week in a row now, and WW it started to fall too. But probs we still might see a new streaming peak WW today.
  13. So it has definitely peaked on streaming, but what a run we had! Interested in the opening figures of the Jax Jones remix.
  14. I think it would be sensible to drop the remaining remixes on week 9, hope for it to be enough for an increase and then move on to single 2 on week 12-13.
  15. ^ I really don’t get their system, how does it work? Was it specifically *sent* to the pop radio stations?
  16. Now time to pay it back and add to ‘Today’s Top Hits’, since it’s firmly above 750k per day now
  17. I kinda hope they do something like this with Kylie’s single number 2. I mean this single is peaking and has already done extraordinarily well, but they need more (even if minor) hits to send this album into another league of sales. Meanwhile 812,020 plays on Spotify yesterday! Up 91.5k on the previous Tuesday. Looks like we are in for the new peaks this weekend!
  18. Digital sales are down significantly, but I was very surprised how well they were holding up all this time in the first place. It might have peaked, but given that it is still rising week-on-week worldwide on Spotify, I won’t count it out yet.
  19. Yesterday: 774,539 streams. Last Friday (when it always got big boosts): 768,383 streams. So Thursday’s streams of yesterday beat the last Friday’s streams and are only 7k shy of the Saturday’s peak. It may have stalled in the UK, but WW it is still on the upward trajectory. Will be extremely surprised if she doesn’t cross 800k today (on Friday)!
  20. Voted fall, I think we will see her at 10-11, unless streaming picks up significantly again (Spotify, I’m looking at you <_< )
  21. ^ people stopped buying and are streaming, there’s no way around it! If anything, it would be artificial to change the rates of streams from already 600:1 / 1200/1 ratio for free streams per sale if anything. The ratios seem fair. And each time Kylie is several placer higher than her position on streaming would be (this time it helped to be at 8 instead of 10), so all is fair. I would change the chart rules however to make more room to the newer tracks, but that’s another story. And what is definitely in the need of a fix is the album chart streams. We actually might see a very short run for ‘Tension’ despite ‘Padam’ being a hit, because the pure sales are super front-loaded for everyone, and the streaming may dive fast below all of the ‘Best of…’ and other playlist-driven albums.
  22. I really feel they should give the stars / awards depending on how many billions of streams the artist has reached. Say, the función would be 2^x or by Fibonacci numbers. Say, 1 billion = star 2 billion = 2 stars 4 billion = 3 stars 8 billion = 4 stars Etc. This way it would make much more sense.
  23. Happy with 8 even if it’s its peak, which is possible looking at the recent streaming progress, it has done very well and has done wonders for Kylie’s streaming reach already! Also very impressive it shifted 3k pure sales on week 5 without any boost from the fans or new physical formats!
  24. I never thought this was in contention after I saw a number 54 debut on Spotify and especially the fall out of the top-200 the next day. The top-10 threshold is just too big at the moment. I’m actually impressed it landed as high as 11! But yeah, looks like the next week’s drop is going to be painful.
  25. Love Peggy’s new one, hope it goes top-3 eventually! I wouldn’t call her Korean-Korean though, as I think she’s based in Berlin?
