That’s a very good read, Bre! I’d take the second list more as genuine without collabs etc. I think Eminem has still got it with the next release, but he’s like one of a kind phenomenon too. Low top-10 didn’t sound extremely big for the ABBA release, but putting it into perspective you can see how much it defied the trend too. Obviously ABBA and Bowie benefitted from the huge comeback effects, but regardless it is extremely impressive. Unfortunately I don’t see the music industry becoming much less ageist, but if anything, tiktok and other less centralised trends will make the room for at least some good songs by older artists regardless of ageism.

I think they’re trying to evade the creation of the new versions out there to buy, hence this weird new video download being available. But it should still add some sales. The gap is small, and Kylie is making huge gains, with no cassettes added yet. Dave EP x2 is already below her on Apple and Amazon, and she’s catching up on Spotify hard. I think she’s gonna do it, but no time to rest until it’s sealed.

There’s no wonder they’re doing a USA push. Despite it not charting (in the main charts), it gets the same amount of streams as in the UK, so it’s a very important market for them. I posted an article from Billboard that when it got to 10 on dance tracks chart, it got 1.5m streams in a week.

I’m sure of Gold. Silver it seems will be done by October, unless it starts to drop hard. For example, there are 16 weeks until the week starting 29th Sep. To reach silver by that date it needs to sell averagely 9.4k per week. And right now she’s doing around 15k just from streaming per week.

I’m happy with 12, but still a bit disappointed, as it was so close! But I’m greedy, as prior to the release I expected 1 week in the top-40 max. And the sales should be very healthy already!

Trojan Horse and 14 :o I definitely expected it to be top-10. Seems there was barely any lag in streams reports on Wednesday when it jumped to 8k.

It all comes down to how many fake cassettes downloads / CDs she has sold and shipped on Thursday. I expect anything between 10 and 13.

I like the Hannah Laing song! Very commercial and easy listening (in a good way). I’m fine with the new Weeknd song too, but it’s not his best.

It’s actually handy residing in Mexico for the chart purposes, as evading the spoilers will be much easier for me due to me going to sleep right now. :lol: I’ll be happy with any top-15 outcome, but I hope it somehow clings into the top-10, so the fanbase can finally rest.
