I think website exclusive downloads is a potential goldmine for extra needed sales, and I hope they unitise that again if it is going to be close!

It was at 66 on Spotify in the week. So 66 on Spotify, 90 on YouTube, low on Amazon, but top-15 in Apple helped this reach top-60.

I can definitely see it top-10 in the first look! But despite Ed Sheeran going ACR, the cap for the top-10 this week is going to be very high, with Rudimental and Dua climbing a lot, new massive smash from Dave and the rest being stable. It might take up to 25k to get to the top-10 this week!

Noteworthy that Jorja Smith made enormous climbs on Spotify and Apple Music in the past days. Looks like an easy top-40 or even top-20 by the end of the week!

Okay, I’m taking my words back — it didn’t stall at all. :wub: But I really really wish they waited one more week with the CDs. This week top-10 still seems unreachable. The fact that ACR barely works these days and therefore we have a very high threshold to go top-10 compared to 3 months ago doesn’t help either.

It actually rose nicely yesterday, back up week-on-week! I’m trying not to hope, but with quite a nice dance playlists reach it should get the highest streaming day today? Also checked the stats for TikTok https://songstats.com/track/sq3l98a4/padam-padam According to this, PP was used in 3620 videos. So far it is modest, but we can track the increases from time to time. ‘Say Something’ was used in 1699 videos up until now.

Maybe I am overcautious now, since I predicted her to easily go top-20 this week, and now just trying to moderate my expectations! But it is quite sad that up to before Eurovision 15.7k was easily enough to go top-20 or even top-15. For this week I think she will do 15k on streaming, 2k on downloads and some amount of physicals. If it is again 2k, like with ‘A Second to Midnight’, she will be on track to 19k, which would equivalent for #15 last week. If she gets streamed and / or has more CD sales, we can hope for a higher position. Thankfully this week we only have the new Dave and probably the Weeknd to trouble the top-20 from the new entries, so nothing extra should stand in her way hopefully!

It has slowed down on both AM and Spotify unfortunately! Unless the platforms move her up in the playlists, I don’t see her going much higher on streaming. If she manages a top-50 on Spotify, that could change a lot of course.

I know it is amazing to have a Kylie song as a climber to 23, but I wanted so much more :lol: Looks like it is about to stall now, but with the physical release hopefully a top-20 is secured, even if for one week.

I feel 'Snow on the Beach' will be replaced by 'Anti-Hero', which is far more stable and may still be above PP even on ACR. I don't get why she's moving down, even slightly, on HH, since it rose 108-57 since its inclusion so far?

I feel there's more chance for it to get top-50 on Friday, despite it being a new releases day. As of yesterday, the difference between Padam Padam and #50 is 9,365 streams. The day before it was 15,155 streams, so she gained 6k to reach top-50, which is quite not enough if the gain is the same. So if she gains the same amount, today she will be at like #52 to our annoyance. And last Friday she registered the highest amount of streams, possibly due to the inclusion in some party playlists. There are no big releases of what I know, so it might be the window where she can sneak in.

So this is how the first two weeks of Padam vs Say Something look: No competition. Padam Padam registered less streams yesterday compared to the previous Wednesday. Seems like the viral effect has gone off and was replaced by the playlist support, but only in her key markets. The UK share of her streams yesterday was 19%, up from 15% the Wednesday before.

I’m with Jay, I’m not sure it’s a good idea to release the CDs just yet. It is likely to climb more on week 4. But I guess they want to secure that top-20 while it is for sure within the reach.

Since this one got only one reply so far I don’t think it would be enough to create a new topic — but the new single ‘The Universe’ is so, so good! Very melodic and rich in sound.

I hope that with whichever label they end up being, they invest into a lead single push and a lead single itself. Even with a minor hit the album will do wonders and may go far bigger than 10-out chart run. Sugababes have a lot of casual / sleeping followers, they just need to reach them. I know it’s an anomaly, but look at what Padam Padam is doing for Kylie and surely will do for her album sales!

Thank you Dawid! So yes, my theory of missing data yesterday is working. Digital sales are up 323 day-by-day. Streaming sales are up 1,799 day-by-day, compared to 1,199 yesterday. Up 50%.

Do we have the sales breakdown for today? I really wonder how streaming gained. If we don’t have it: On Wed the figure was 9,558 sales. It means it gained 2,122 sales in a day. Yet on Wednesday mids she only gained 1,525 sales compared to the Tuesday mids. If we were to say that she sold roughly the same amount of downloads (350), that would mean around 1,800 streams gained yesterday, compared to 1,200 (!) the day before. So I’m pretty sure now that in yesterday’s mids there were extra missing streams, most probably from Apple Music.

My hypothesis is that we lack Apple Music streaming for one more day than we lacked yesterday. Otherwise this small but not-so-small increase in streaming and 35 in yesterday’s gain doesn’t make sense. And no, I don’t think they should release anything this week. It’s a shame PP isn’t going top-20 this week, but this week is insignificant overall. It will still add around 15k sales, so all good.
