So cool! So it gained 562 downloads and 1,334 streaming points in a day. Looking for at least 12k+ sales points this week (including the streams that weren’t accounted for yesterday). This should be enough for top-30 now.

I like Karma and I think it is definitely a strong single choice! If it shines as a single of its own, it will be great.

I kinda wish they had another out of comfort zone big track in their pockets to ensure the success, but the rest looks like more of a safe Kylie, judging by the leaks reactions and the fact that the album is mainly produced by Biff. But regardless of anything, this album is going to raise her streaming profile a lot already, she really needed this boost, as she is very underrated on streaming.

Frankly I don’t think this will change anything in the industry. First, the song isn’t that big, at least yet. Secondly, they may just say — look, but we supported Padam because it was a cool song! And they will neglect the fact that there are many other incredible songs, just not made as viral ones.

It is actually New York City in the article now! Very surprising how well the Golden tracks have done in the UK. And that Real Groove, which cumulatively is the highest ‘DISCO’ streamer on Spotify due to numerous versions, isn’t really that high. I guess a lot of streams came from all over the world, including the ones from Dua. I feel ‘Padam Padam’ could enter this top-40 within a month at most, eh. It already had 550k streams registered as of yesterday at very least.

Up to 50 on Apple Music. Even if this stalls after the initial hype, this will do wonders for Kylie streaming numbers.

1. Dancing 2. Padam 3. Say Something Dancing remains my favourite of hers, I think it’s in the top-5 of all of her songs for me! Padam is amazing but lacks the depth and grooviness in production and is too short (I know why they did it, but the longer version would work for me better). And Say Something is a very solid song, but too on a safe side for a lead from Kylie.

With it climbing big on Apple, returning to #1 in iTunes and top-200 in Spotify, I'd say a top-40 for this week is on lock! I couldn't have imagined it before the release to be honest. MAYBE a top-40 with the physical release, but opening like this out of the park? No.

To put into perspective, these are the first days of 'Padam' and 'Say Something' on global Spotify. Unfortunately I couldn't find 'Dancing' numbers in the vaults, but that more reminds of the 'Say Something' trajectory. Evidently, up until yesterday, the trends were the roughly same, with 'Padam' just having higher numbers. But yesterday 'Padam' gained much better than 'Say Something'!

I think at this point we are talking between ‘Padam Padam’ at something like 39 or at 45. And that’s where it gets even more annoying. Sure, it has the potential to peak on streaming later, but that might mean lingering around #70 for a while. So once it has a chance — I would grab it! But looks like BMG are invested now too, so hopefully they throw one extra version by Thursday if they see the top-40 is on the cards.

Yep, I’d defo put another version up there — anything that the fans can buy extra, even instrumental. It could be a difference below 500 sales points to get to the top-40!

Sure, the charts aren’t as influential as they were used to be, but I’d say a top-40 debut is a financially good prospect, as it still creates quite a bit of extra buzz and can open more doors later, including heavier playlisting.

I’m not at all surprised PP gained on sales only a bit, despite being marginally higher on iTunes. In July 2020 the overall paid-for sales were around 480-500k for the week. Last week they were just 303k for the whole paid-for sales singles market. So she represents a pretty much twice as big of a share in the singles sales market compared to Say Something.

I don’t think ‘As It Was’ will go to ACR at very least by autumn at this point: its consumption is flat, and any good weather will provoke people to go out and play “hits” on some standard Spotify playlist. Plus the tour.

Actually too-40 might be doable if BMG AND the UK fanbase bother with it.

I wish there was more Padam (Padam), but the performance was a serve anyway. She really enjoyed performing it, the voice was very warm and playful.

I actually can see it cracking the top-75 this week! The streaming is ok, she has been much stronger than Say Something on iTunes, and that got to 81. And what Say Something didn’t have for that week is the video release, which proves to gain quite a few streams too. I know the downloads overall got much weaker in 3 years, but it is compensated by higher position.

It is 1,049,051 streams! Well done!!!
