I feel that the streams should be divided into the singles streams and album streams, yet it shouldn't matter what is the source of the streaming: playlist or the album itself. How can we possibly divide it? Let's say if a user streams more than 50% of the tracks from the album within two days (to cover the night periods), these streams will go to the album. If the percentage is less than 50%, then the streams should count to the singles chart. And of course, we need to upweight the streaming ratios after that. The concept might be very unfinished and may need a lot of details, but you get the idea. What I'm not sure is whether the servers will manage to make all of these calculations for millions of streams each week, as it multiplies the amount of them massively.

Very happy with the winner, by far the best song and performance! And sorry UK, the song was good, but the performance was very flat.

I wonder, if As It Was and/or Green Green Grass survive on SCR until, let’s say, OCTOBER, will that ring a bell big enough to try to remake the system?

It is not the end of the leaks though probably. Poor Kylie! Again, even with the full album leaked even in HQ you can still go around it, but it will be very frustrating and they will still lose sales / streams.

This time more tracks will be available before the album. Seeing at very least 2 singles, promo track and '10 out of 10'. Maybe another single if 'Padam Padam' doesn't land at all. So at least 4 out 14 (sorry), opposed to the previous 3/16 with 'Golden' and 'Disco'. Fingers crossed the album doesn't leak though! I kinda suspect it will, maybe even pretty soon... That said, it didn't stop Sugababes enjoying the success of 'The Lost Tapes', all of which were leaked YEARS before the self-release!

It’s the amazing colours — and yes, the diamond — that make the cover for me. The concept is clever and attention grabbing.

It makes me incredibly sad how much is being leaked. However, the artwork is brilliant! Hopefully it will be a good surprise to the general public.

It’s logical to include ‘10 out of 10’ in the album, but if it’s in the main edition, I start to doubt the quality of overall material. Either way, it is slightly going to boost overall album streams, as it gains the streams from outside of usual Kylie playlist support.

I’m so scared at the title :lol: gonna wait for the official release to listen. It’s a shame it leaked though.

Tbh it's more to do with the way of music consumption, as the bigger and bigger chunk of sales comes from online stores and artists' own stores. Given that the vinyl sales keep rising, it is clearly a very profitable business at the moment.

Maybe one of the reasons OCC doesn’t want to rethink the album chart is because without streaming playlists and with excluding compilations streams the sales will look even more dire. But then you can up-weight the remaining streams! As they (actual album streams not from playlists) clearly are worth more.

Thank you for amazing stats, Jay! We all know why this is all happening, but this is still all sad and dire to look at. I hope at some point OCC rethink the way they compile the album chart to highlight which albums, not playlists, people are streaming during the week.

I think what Heidi did back in the day was totally wrong and quite stupid to be honest. I mean it doesn’t need a huge chunk of empathy to realise the consequences of the last original girl and no other than Keisha being kicked out. If it is THAT unbearable, you just split up for good, and now drive into the nonsense of 4.0. But I’m sure the management was also up there, as they had spent a ton of money on making Sweet 7. That said, I think she totally understood how wrong she was, judging by that sobby reunión they had several years later. And Keisha is definitely part of the problem, judging by all the evidence we have. I’m actually not sure Keisha has realised everything she needed to realise on her side though, judging by her latest comment on Heidi. But I am very happy that Mut, Keisha and Siobhan sorted everything out and seem really happy with each other, and that matters the most. Of course with the ageist industry the chances of them being successful again are ridiculously thin, but that doesn’t really depend on the quality of material, which is amazing. But erasing Heidi from history and pretending it’s all and only about the ‘Sacred Three’ is… weird? As most, if not all, gigs that they have these days, they owe to the biggest hits on all of them except for Overload Heidi was part of.

I believe this is one of her very best albums! The whole rollout was excellent, the quality of songs and cohesiveness were on top, and I think Kylie herself grew a lot as an artist making this album.

K it is actually better than I expected from the preview, the production is richer and less mmm flat a la Drag Race? Will definitely give it a few spins out of choice. But hope that the lead single will be significantly better.

All i can say that I had an experience of signing a letter, putting it into an envelope and sealing it. There were two of us and we signed for us two and one other person :whistle: . And basically we made a sort of a conveyer and managed to do this procedure to 2000 letters in roughly 3 hours. And here we did the whole thing alone, while Ed only signed and had an assistant to do so. So I definitely think it is doable in several shifts, and I think Ed did it!

I would back if for a Christmas number one if Ladbaby decides to release something again!

Voted DNC oops. Even if it picks up nice streaming, I think it will be from all over the place(s) and not enough to chart anywhere particularly, unless there’s a nice download infusion to make it to top-100 the first week.

The song’s cool, but it really feels like it will age like milk to me. :(
