Another 80k added yesterday! Everything fell in streams though. The steadiest is 'Beat is Gone', which lost just 0.1% of its streams of the previous day. The biggest fallers are 'Back in the Day' (-7.9%), 'I Lay Down' (-7.7%) and 'Flatline' (-6.1%). 'Summer of '99' has a chance of being the biggest gainer today actually, as well as becoming the highest album track! And 'I Lay Down' with 'Back in the Day' are really drifting apart from the rest now. I feel that both of the articles overhype them though. “Number 2 in iTunes” barely means anything, as well as “thousands of likes in Instagram post”. “Millions of streams” already mentioned. That makes me question the initial point. I mean I’m sure they are in talks for some nice deals, but nothing extraordinary. But all they need is a normal budget for the album and smart marketing with good playlisting. I hope they get that (as I’m sure the quality of the material will be ace regardless).

I don't know many songs out here, but I like 'Water' a lot too! Very good effort from Bicep. Jungle is good too, but I didn't put it up by myself!

I love Green Green Grass and always tried to pump it up in the Reshuffle chart! Yes, it's silly, but it's the definition of an earworm!

If true (and I lean towards that it is), I really hope they don’t fall into another Polydor trap deal! I don’t want to wait for another 10 years. But I’m sure the girls also learned and know what do they need from a label now. 90’s girlband though :frankie:

Meanwhile another 83k gained on Spotify, but what's more interesting is that 'Summer of '99' has become the second streamer behind 'Flatline'. And 'Drum' fell below that, 'Boys' and 'Love me Hard'. It actually goes with my taste too, as I loved 'Drum' from the start the most, but grew old of it very quickly.

It’s still at 3 in iTunes too according to kworb worldwide! 11 in Australia and 10 in Spain (!). It is really unlikely to chart, but I’m happy they grabbed some easy worldwide downloads, which should help turning the whole project into more of a profit.

^ Love Me Hard is one of my favourites, sonically it's beautiful! Meanwhile little by little it continues to gain streams! Yesterday was a bigger day than the day before with 84161 streams overall, up from 75860. Most of the tracks are above 20k now and Flatline safely above 1.5m. Unfortunately I wouldn't count on any playlisting, with it being a completely independent release and numbers being too modest for Spotify to notice. This is actually exactly what I was expecting for! And Flatline is the biggest gainer of 15k. In one or two days it should cross 1.5m! Also interesting how is it gonna change. Right now everything is gaining more or less according to the track order with the biggest track that is standing out is ‘Today’. But it should change to the fan favourites more soon!

So ‘The Lost Tapes’ is #2 in iTunes worldwide by the kworb metric :drama: Also up to 10 in UK Apple Music. VERY eager to see how is it gonna do in Spotify! I hope a couple of tracks will break the 5 digits barrier!

I'm fairly sure it will pass 1.5m really quick now. I'm more aimed at 2m :D

That’s with zero promo in the middle of the Christmas madness just on hype alone! Hopefully this takes them to sign a nice deal with a BMG type of label and make a proper push for the next album if that one materialises!

Listening through all of it as a piece of work I really got the Siobhan's songwriting stamp on all of the songs! She's a brilliant and a very underrated songwriter (not to diminish the talent of Keisha and Mutya ofc - but they got much more of a limelight).

I think they'll do something once it's the morning! Because the buzz is there!
