To choose the optimal method OCC should measure the error margin I guess. Your method is easier to calculate though. With my method to determine where the stream should go the engine should go through through all the day's data and gather info. It will need an enormously bigger processing capacity than the OCC have now.

This way your lest streamed track will get precisely 0 streams, when in fact it will get some individual streams, just not that many. I still stand by my opinion that there should be a system determining whether someone streamed 50% or more tracks from the album in a day. If yes, those streams would count to the albums, if no - then to the singles.

^ I don't see any problem with using marketing strategies to get more sales and boost the profile tbh! But the song is meh and I'm happy that it doesn't lead the album.

There are a few cases when the same artist occupied both #1 and #2 in the singles chart at the same time. I'm asking you to name that artist and these songs. Edited this question a bit for more clearance. Updated the players list, 9 people submitted their answers so far!

Tbh it's doing its job, the album is selling well, which is all that matters. We all would like some more top-40s from Kylie but in the current climate it's next to impossible even with big push. And it's by far not a foregone conclusion 59p and remixes would be enough for this to go top-40. They should have released the remix for 59p straight away, and even that might not be enough to go top-40.

Yeppp, that's right! And by "charting" you have to chart anywhere in the top-100 in the singles.
