  1. Oh my, it’s very good! They should put it on streaming!

People are praising a lot the lyrics of Apple which has a lot of layers! I’m so happy for her tbh
  3. I’m sorry to clinch in, but i find absolutely bonkers the discrepancy between the share of the party votes and the share of the seats…? @1809117996264087579 I mean I comprehend why did it happen, having a majority system. I get the Labour landslide despite them having 34% of the votes. But the fact that LibDems obtained 10 times more seats than Reform while having a smaller share of the votes is crazy to me!
  4. The album goes 3-9-9 in the USA Billboard 200, which I really didn't expect to see from her!
  5. Aaaaaand it keeps on giving! @1804574419664126380 I believe this is the first since ‘Head’ there to reach 500k?
  6. ‘Talk Talk’s Spotify run is so erratic! 113-67-94. All over the place!
  7. That exactly matches the figures of a previous Tuesday, so given it lost the first week’s new release support, nice to see it being consistent!
  8. Thank you very much for this post and I feel very similar. And indeed, this amount of hate towards specifically Katy Perry seems targeted. Overall I genuinely don’t know what happened, and going after people who worked with a certain person is itself problematiqúe and feels like a witch hunt. That said, I hate the snippet and hope it is indeed not the right one. 🙂‍↔️

Yeah, that’s what I mean: these days the second weeks are generally atrocious for albums and staying top-3/top-5 is considered amazing in my books! Tbh I’m fine with Taylor grabbing up all of those numerous weeks at number one instead of default 10k on first week albums with 1-OUT type of a chart run! But if she really wants many weeks at number one, she should release a Greatest Hits. :kink:

Looks like Charli is going to go 2-3 in the albums, amazing longevity!
  11. Voted too :D My top-15 was quite clear actually! Good job overall this round!
  12. Unfortunately didn’t do anything for me! So far not a fan of all of the three post-Tension collabs that were accidentally released, so I’m gonna be patiently waiting for KM17.

Really didn't expect such a rise from Monday for Becky! The album is very decent, it's a shame it didn't catch up on streaming much! The homegrown music is really struggling right now in UK.

'Here Comes the Hotstepper' 15UffN8eilI She kind of lost me a bit with a sample, but still nevertheless a good song, and I definitely think this style suits her a lot!

Voted! A very strong semi to me, especially the 21-31 part! Enjoyed this contest a lot so far.
  16. I like it! Nothing super inventive, but definitely good enough to bop to for a while!
  17. I also get LUNCH instead of Espresso on auto play now! I use Spotify Mexico.
  18. It got slightly less streams on Sat than on Fri, but I believe there was still a slight boost, as usually it falls on Saturdays more.
  19. The point of autoplay is not that you personally have it on or off - but that many (majority?) of people have it on, and therefore it inflates the streaming numbers massively without the users voluntarily putting the song to play / having in their own playlist or at very least having it in the playlist they chose to stream. But it is one of many streaming manipulations we know and is the general problem with streaming determinizing the genuine popularity of the songs.
  20. I actually understand why they pushed These Walls as a focus track. It is definitely catchy and the most diverse to the rest of the album. Agree about Falling Forever being left as an album gem would be a good decision!
  21. Hi! :D Sorry, very late to the party, but thanks for the votes for Gibran Alcocer! He’s a very cool pianist from Yucatán, and I couldn’t really NOT send him some time hahaha. I’m on vacation holiday right now, but hopefully will find some time to participate in the next one!
  22. French Exit has grown on me a lot! Love it too now, actually probably my second favourite behind Houdini. I also do love the fact that Dua has made the classic pop album structure — 11 tracks, the tracks aren’t too short, the whole album doesn’t end in an instant. It is not catered to inflate the streaming numbers at all. I do believe she has it in her and she will pleasantly surprise us in the future not one time, even if this album isn’t exactly up there. The statement that she’s mediocre because she doesn’t write about personal stuff is ridiculous to me. In fact, it’s the other way around (if it’s too much) that could get me off someone, if anything!
  23. I can’t believe that an artist with such a good ear for a song and melody overlooked that they literally created an inferior version of the previous album! I do love ‘Houdini’ a lot and enjoyed a lot ‘End of an Era” and ‘Falling Forever”, as well as ‘Illusion’, but overall it’s not a strong effort. I hope for the next album she definitely changes the game and sound a lot. The girl needs it.
  24. Can’t Get You out of My Head’s main version reaches 500m streams on Spotify. :D It has really accelerated lately, it took only 8 months for it to go from 400m to 500m. Padam Padam back up to 300k+ streams for Saturday compared to around 200k+ the previous Saturday, following the RPDR final lip sync.
  25. I listened to ‘Tension’ a LOT and prefer it to ‘DISCO’ as a body of work. ‘Tension’ the single is defo is one of the best Kylie songs ever for me. I think what spoiled it for me a bit though is the amount of 80s-leaning songs out there. The sound should have been much more ‘Padam’-centred than it turned out to be. And it seems like ‘Padam’, ‘Tension’ and ‘10/10’ would sit much better in a future apparently “full dance” album. And ‘Padam Padam’ aside, the streams for ‘Disco’ tracks seem to hold up better than for ‘Tension’ too.
