^ Actually there’s a huge difference between one song getting 120m streams or three. For example an album has 12 tracks. Case one: Track 1: 120m Track 2: 10m Tracks 3-12: 10m Track 1 is down weighted to the average of 10m of tracks 3-12 as per OCC rule. Overall streaming sales are 120m / 1000 = 120k. Case two: Track 1: 40m Track 2: 40m Track 3: 40m Tracks 4-12: 10m Tracks 1 and 2 are down weighted to the average of 13m of tracks 3-12. Track 3 isn’t down weighted. Overall streaming sales are 156m / 1000 = 156k. So if the album is a 3 moderate hits wonder instead of a one big hit wonder, in this case it will gain 36 extra thousand UK chart sales, or 30% of them.

Well I'd say the total Spotify streams for Padam Padam wouldn't be a bad indication for its UK certifications. It reached Silver on 50m Spotify streams. It reached Gold on 105m Spotify streams. So I'd say it will reach Platinum on 160-170m Spotify streams, which should happen around the end of this year or beginning of the next.

Tbh I can’t stop laughing at this! Definitely falls under the “so bad it’s good” category. “Mom, now I know how to design the graphics!”

Dance Alone actually outperformed Gimme Love on its first full week: @1757878466416972177 So it has a chance of outperforming it overall (which is on 70m streams at the moment after a half of year), which might make it bigger than any other track for Kylie except for Head, Baby and Padam on Spotify! Even Padam might fall behind in the end.

I must admit, I chuckled at the part “… and if you kill someone huns then you can emote while the dead player is watching.”

I hope she somehow squeezes in Tension the song to be honest! Truly underrated single

Love it! I think they couldn’t resist giving her a nod after a GRAMMY win, especially given the chance of winning international artist are very slim. Hopefully a medley performance now!

^yes, it didn’t break the top-200, but the streaming is extremely strong for a single with Kylie (by far not so much for Sia though). Kylie’s Spotify monthly listeners increased by more than a million since the song release and may help Kylie re-enter the top-500 most popular artists worldwide there, so it’s doing exactly that — giving more visibility for Kylie on streaming. Everything else is a bonus frankly. i just wish the song was stronger!

Well, number 200 was streamed 81,205 times, so no more than that! Padam had 15-20% of its streams from the UK, this one seemingly has less than 10%. Sia is a much more “international market” artist.

So it’s out! It is solid enough to be honest! Nowhere near my favourites by any of Sia or Kylie, but definitely not on the bad side either. Wish the production was more interesting though.

I’d love a Padam to Tension to Hold On to Now to the 4th single remix with a duet with someone but I know it’s too much to ask. If she gives us an iconic performance of Padam, that will already be good.

I like the melody she sings, but the instrumental is a bit too basic. I wasn’t impressed by the snippet of Padam too though, and then loved the whole thing, so I’ll reserve my judgement.

This is definitely highly possible, given the first Sia single already did that within half a year.

'Padam Padam' has a higher playlist reach than 'Can't Get You out of My Head', while being lower on streams. Lots of other singles are here too.

The Peggy Gou mix also helped, which was also boosted by Peggy's hit of her own. You can really see how much the 'Fever' tracks were benefitted from Padam, as 'Spinning Around', despite growing in streams, fell below 'Love at First Sight', which is in front of the former by 6 million streams. The yearly streams of 'Love At First Sight' grew by 74% compared to the previous period! 'The Loco-Motion' is also a case of growing slower (by 15%) than the others, like 'Higher' (by 39%) and therefore falling in the countdown. 'Higher' and 'In Your Eyes' are closing to the 100m mark and hopefully will reach it some time before the end of 2025. In fact, out of the top-10, only 'Santa Baby' has lost in streams (and by 34%!), all of the other songs grew. Nevertheless, 'Santa Baby' easily stays at number 3, with nothing else coming close. Making up for the 'Santa Baby' slump, 'Santa Claus Is Coming to Town' is soaring to the top-10 of 2023 and doing almost 12 millions streams in a year. If the trend goes on, it could become Kylie's top-5 most streamed song of the year in 2024 or 2025. I'm really not a fan of the Christmas album (and Christmas songs in general), but I got to admit, that for Kylie it brings a lot of streaming visibility. And finally, the last unspoken new entry, 'Tension', comfortably made the top-5 off the 4 months of availability and hopefully will stay there in 2024! Like with 'Padam Padam' and '...Head', it would have easily overcome 'In Your Eyes', hadn't the latter received a huge boost from the renewed interest in Kylie. Frankly I don't know what exactly happened there, as I checked the playlist reach, and, while it grew through the year, it isn't anything spectacular. Neither did I notice any TikTok trend... yet here we are! 'Kids' is one of the main reasons I'm combining the songs versions, as its streams are split equally between the Robbie album and Kylie album. And now there's a XXV version for Robbie. The Robbie version gained some traction in the end of the year, so I expect it to climb again in 2024. '10 out of 10' was just a bit shy of doing the total magic of 10's, but it just fell short in the last minute. 'Hold On To Now' debuts at 14 and hopefully it holds well next year. 'Get Outta My Way' and 'All the Lovers' have switched places, and the former is about to overtake the overall streams of the latter too. 'Real Groove' also fell beyond 'Magic' but is still far above in combined streams, with three versions generating a lot of them - album version, Dua Lipa version and the Initial Talk mix. But the highest track from DISCO now is 'A Second to Midnight'. And finally, the Nick Cave collab 'Where the WIld Roses Grow' is going consistently strong, only slipping a place. ... 'Say Something', 'Magic' and 'Real Groove' all fell from the previous top-10, which means we have two new entries (easy to guess which) and one climber (that one is a bit trickier). All will be revealed tomorrow, while now I'll provide with some extra stats.

I mean it is not her signature hit, but should do at least better than that?
