  1. 11-20 11 10 out of 10 Tension 10 492 711 12 A Second to Midnight DISCO 9 394 767 13 Where the Wild Roses Grow Other - feature 8 773 532 14 Hold On To Now Tension 7 773 117 15 Get Outta My Way Aphrodite 7 369 590 16 Magic DISCO 6 876 752 17 All the Lovers Aphrodite 6 765 640 18 Real Groove DISCO 6 365 706 19 Chiggy Wiggy Other 6 343 542 20 Kids Light Years 6 048 876 And the two awards 'The biggest climber' with 'The most random resurgence' go to... Chiggy Wiggy! :magic: It gained almost 1.5 times more streams in 2023 alone than in its whole existence before. Frankly I don't know what exactly happened there, as I checked the playlist reach, and, while it grew through the year, it isn't anything spectacular. Neither did I notice any TikTok trend... yet here we are! 'Kids' is one of the main reasons I'm combining the songs versions, as its streams are split equally between the Robbie album and Kylie album. And now there's a XXV version for Robbie. The Robbie version gained some traction in the end of the year, so I expect it to climb again in 2024. '10 out of 10' was just a bit shy of doing the total magic of 10's, but it just fell short in the last minute. 'Hold On To Now' debuts at 14 and hopefully it holds well next year. 'Get Outta My Way' and 'All the Lovers' have switched places, and the former is about to overtake the overall streams of the latter too. 'Real Groove' also fell beyond 'Magic' but is still far above in combined streams, with three versions generating a lot of them - album version, Dua Lipa version and the Initial Talk mix. But the highest track from DISCO now is 'A Second to Midnight'. And finally, the Nick Cave collab 'Where the WIld Roses Grow' is going consistently strong, only slipping a place. ... 'Say Something', 'Magic' and 'Real Groove' all fell from the previous top-10, which means we have two new entries (easy to guess which) and one climber (that one is a bit trickier). All will be revealed tomorrow, while now I'll provide with some extra stats.
  2. Now the next part might give quite a bit of pain to 'Impossible Princess' fans, because... Some singles and highlights outside of the top-100 101 Did It Again | Impossible Princess 103 Can't Stop Writing Songs About You | DISCO 104 Breathe | Impossible Princess 107 Shocked | Rhythm of Love 109 Sexercize | Kiss Me Once 113 Put Your Hands Up (If You Feel Love) | Aphrodite 115 Better Than Today | Aphrodite 118 All I See | X 125 Golden | Golden 127 Give Me Just a Little More Time | Let's Get to It 128 Some Kind of Bliss | Impossible Princess 131 GBI (German Bold Italic) | Other - feature 138 Giving You Up | Other 139 A Lifetime to Repair | Golden 142 If You Were with Me Now | Let's Get to It 154 Finer Feelings | Let's Get to It 163 What Kind of Fool? (Heard All That Before) | Other 192 Word Is Out | Let's Get to It 205 Where Is The Feeling | Kylie Minogue So yes, 'Did It Again' finished at 101 and 'Breathe' finished at 104, which is a big shame. But frankly both were slipping in streams, and it was very tough for those to fight against the 15 new entries, as well as some climbers from her imperial eras. Another thing that puzzles me is how 'Where is the Feeling' didn't even make the top-200, being below even 'Falling' and 'Surrender' - album tracks from KM94. I mean it is not her signature hit, but should do at least better than that?
  3. 21-30 21 Especially for You Other - feature 6 020 810 23 162 940 22 I Should Be So Lucky Kylie 5 884 433 27 581 997 23 At Christmas Kylie Christmas 5 694 745 34 420 970 24 It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year Kylie Christmas 5 381 870 18 000 046 25 Supernova DISCO 5 254 391 16 225 594 26 On a Night like This Light Years 4 637 042 29 100 472 27 Say Something DISCO 4 320 217 40 034 926 28 In My Arms X 4 273 680 27 746 017 29 Come into My World Fever 3 782 294 22 361 252 30 Things We Do For Love Tension 3 320 704 3 320 704 Worth mentioning the 5 million threshold which was conquered by 25 Kylie songs in 2023! 'Especially for You' managed a very good year and even climbed a bit, overtaking 'I Should Be So Lucky', which fell off the top-20. I don't know whether the label was involved, but it looks like Spotify has totally reconsidered playlisting of Kylie Christmas songs, many of them going all over the place: some fall quite significantly, like 'At Christmas', and some gaining a LOT of traction like 'It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year'. Overall the Christmas tracks have lost in streaming compared to the previous period, but only by just a bit - probably due to the principal 'Santa Baby' being kicked off the major Christmas playlist. 'Things We Do for Love' is the biggest album track for 'Tension' so far, but 'Vegas High' might challenge it long-term. That if nothing else from the album is given a major push, which seems more likely with each month. WIth a big help of RuPaul, 'Supernova' is incredibly stable here, only slipping one place and even overtaking 'Say Something'. And some amazing classics are in this section - On a Night Like This, In My Arms and Come Into My World.
  4. To me BTDYK is doing very decently, given - yes - it wasn't that huge of a hit for Kylie and it didn't break through to the USA (which is a huge market, so it helps some other Kylie songs that were received better there), and the fact that it is still a number 5 pre-Parlo Kylie song on this countdown. What is more surprising to me is how flat the 'Rhythm of Love' album tracks fare, they're kind of in the vein of 'Let's Get to It'!
  5. Gold is imminent, but I’m more excited for it to eventually go Platinum and be the first Kylie’s song to do so since… Can’t Get You out of My Head? Santa Baby aside
  6. Albums update As in the whole countdown, the streams of 2023 are compared to the streams of the period from August 2020 till August 2022. Place 2023 Place 20-22 Album name Streams 1 2 Fever 188,225,082 2 N Tension 167,066,629 3 3 Kylie Christmas 54,402,190 4 1 DISCO 45,212,185 5 4 Light Years 25,005,774 6 5 Kylie 23,382,675 7 6 Aphrodite 16,505,930 8 7 X 11,387,846 9 9 Body Language 7,941,188 10 10 Rhythm of Love 5,357,974 11 8 Golden 5,262,734 12 11 Enjoy Yourself 4,241,615 13 12 Kiss Me Once 3,428,421 14 13 Kylie Minogue 2,169,823 15 14 Impossible Princess 1,674,156 16 15 Let's Get to It 728,589 Not many surprises here, with 'DISCO' and 'Golden' slipping further down. So 'Tension', unlike 'DISCO', only managed to debut at 2 and wasn't able to take over 'Fever'. And here's why... Albums ranged by change of the annual 2023 streams to average yearly streams of the period from 2020-2022 Album name Change 1 Fever 89% 2 Kylie 20% 3 Aphrodite 19% 4 Let's Get to It 11% 5 Light Years 10% 6 Enjoy Yourself 0,5% 7 X -1% 8 Body Language -2% 9 Kylie Christmas -3% 10 Impossible Princess -9% 11 Rhythm of Love -15% 12 Kylie Minogue -15% 13 Kiss Me Once -17% 14 Golden -36% 15 DISCO -56% As you can see here, we have a classic situation here of rich getting richer. 'Padamic' made a very uneven effect on Kylie's catalogue streams, with 'Fever' almost doubling its streams and getting most of the limelight. In fact, 9 of the 15 older albums lost in streaming, even if only just. Other 'signature' Kylie albums, like 'Kylie' and 'Aphrodite', as well as 'Light Years', received quite a significant boost. The only standout here is the poor brave 'Let's Get To It', which rose by 11%, but it is still extremely far to even out with 'Impossible Princess', which does 1.7m streams per year.
  7. 31-40 31 Slow Body Language 3 178 677 32 Better the Devil You Know Rhythm of Love 3 019 887 33 Vegas High Tension 2 851 615 34 Timebomb Other 2 789 508 35 I Believe in You Other 2 757 428 36 Wow X 2 634 078 37 One More Time Tension 2 472 190 38 Hands Tension 2 352 418 39 Miss a Thing DISCO 2 352 123 40 Chocolate Body Language 2 240 322 'Greatest Hits compilations leading tracks rising' section, with both 'Timebomb' and 'I Believe in You' rising and the former leapfrogging over the latter in the process. I am especially happy for 'Timebomb', as the release schedule and initial reception didn't do it justice. It is also the section with the two remaining 'Body Language' singles - 'Slow' and 'Chocolate', both slipping down, unlike their companion 'Red Blooded Woman' which managed to rise a bit. And we have three more 'Tenstion' tracks, 'Vegas High' leading the pack.
  8. Now we will get the ‘Hold On To Now’ video probably by September. 🙃
  9. OH MY GOD, SmileyKylie was right all along the way!

Three more 'Tension' tracks fall off here, that didn't get us that high, but nevertheless almost 2 million streams in just over three months is nothing to be ashamed of. We lose 'Dancing' here which got into a bit of a slump. Hopefully it stabilises at some point. Like did 'The One' by only losing one spot despite 8 new entries above it. Or 'Red Blooded Woman' which even rose one place with 10 new entries above it. And there is another Christmas song rising, making the overall movement very hectic compared to the previous periods.
  11. 51-60 51 Hand on Your Heart Enjoy Yourself 1 489 593 52 Somebody To Love Tension 1 485 786 53 Confide in Me Kylie Minogue 1 361 626 54 Love Train Tension 1 346 391 55 Tears on My Pillow Enjoy Yourself 1 285 883 56 Christmas Wrapping (with Iggy Pop) Kylie Christmas 1 273 830 57 Stop Me from Falling Golden 1 267 259 58 Just Imagine Tension 1 265 254 59 Kiss of Life DISCO 1 264 050 60 Slow / Love to Love You Baby DISCO 1 224 041 In this section the first 'Tension' tracks start to appear - specifically the bonus tracks, with the closing 'Somebody to Love' being the highest of this batch. 'Slow / Love to Love You Baby' got a life on its own after being featured in 'Infinite Disco' and had a very good year overall. 'Christmas Wrapping' managed to climb a bit, as well as 'Tears on My Pillow'. 'Tears on My Pillow' got a better fate than 'Hand on Your Heart', which fell a bit but still stayed the highest track from 'Enjoy Yourself' on Spotify Streaming and now making it over 10 million streams across all versions (main version is still on 8.5 million streams though). 'Confide in Me' is the highest Kylie song from all of the DeConstruction era. Deserved to be the highest, but deserves so much higher in the overall list.
  12. 61-70 61 Step Back in Time Rhythm of Love 1 203 553 62 Your Disco Needs You Light Years 1 147 387 63 Where Does the DJ Go? DISCO 1 112 896 64 Voices Other - feature 1 057 570 65 Dance Floor Darling DISCO 1 022 219 66 I Was Gonna Cancel Kiss Me Once 986 564 67 Got to Be Certain Kylie 928 362 68 Fever Fever 909 822 69 2 Hearts X 905 847 70 Devotion Other - feature 836 734 Now we go to the big figures, with 65 songs cumulatively making it to more than 1 million streams in 2023. Kylie finally starts to get on streaming what she always deserved. The first new entry, slightly overshadowed 'Voices' collab with Jake Shears, has managed to nip over 1 millions streams in the end, and is sandwiched at 64 between the two 'DISCO' album tracks, which both still managed to gain over 1 million streams on their 4th calendar year of release. Maybe 'DISCO' didn't produce its signature hit, like 'Tension' and to a lesser extent 'Golden', but as a body of work it got a big boost to Kylie's streaming numbers. 'Devotion' is one of the tracks I had to estimate its 2020 streams, so I am not entirely sure whether its rise is genuine, but nevertheless it shows a great staying power. 'I Was Gonna Cancel' is not a single which is loved a lot by the fanbase, but in the 2023's streaming it became the highest track from 'Kiss Me Once' by the amount of Spotify streams. I have a soft spot for this song, but it is a shame that it started to overshadow a much superior 'Into the Blue'.
  13. I'm putting the yearly figures for the songs in case the pics don't load 71-80 71 Starstruck Other - feature 814 275 72 Last Chance DISCO 784 959 73 Monday Blues DISCO 775 688 74 Turn It into Love Kylie 733 064 75 Light Years Light Years 711 360 76 Into the Blue Kiss Me Once 621 939 77 More More More Fever 613 593 78 Winter Wonderland Kylie Christmas 607 368 79 Never Too Late Enjoy Yourself 575 220 80 Wouldn't Change a Thing Enjoy Yourself 572 342 In this section we have more climbers, like 'More More More' - which paced up quite nicely. Probably had the big boost due to it being the first track of Kylie's most popular album during her resurgence. Title tracks for the albums generally somehow have the advantage, as we can see several times throughout the countdown (maybe the casual listeners are checking them out more frequently?), but with 'Light Years' the extra push came from 'Infinite Disco', where it is one of the most listened to tracks. What I can't explain is the rise of 'Turn It Into Love' which even overtook the single 'Je Ne Sais Pas Pourqoui'! But here it is. And finally, we have the two singles from 'Enjoy Yourself' with almost identical streams, placing at numbers 79 and 80.
  14. I'm a fan of all of these, and 'Music's Too Sad...' is almost the sole representative of the 'Golden' era here, so it stood the test of time. :D
  15. Thank you :D I'm posting those in the images, do they load? And I'll post a full list in text once I finish the countdown.
  16. 81-90 81 Celebration 82 Je Ne Sais Pas Pourquoi 83 What Do I Have to Do? 84 Limpio 85 Every Day's Like Christmas 86 Music's Too Sad Without You 87 Beautiful 88 Celebrate You 89 What You Waiting For 90 Marry The Night Another section of many big free-fallers which will probably leave the top-100 next year. 'Je Ne Sais Pas Pourqoui' however had a healthy year and gained a bit compared to the previously observed period.
  17. 91-100 91 Right Here, Right Now 92 Oh Santa 93 The Other Boys 94 Aphrodite 95 Let It Snow 96 Like a Drug 97 Only You (with James Corden) 98 Put Yourself in My Place 99 Fine Wine 100 Please Stay Bit of a deadwood section here, however we need to note 'Let It Snow', which increased in its position despite 15 new tracks being above it, as well as 'Aphrodite' title track holding steady (and also being one of the few examples of album tracks before 'DISCO' era and outside the festive songs being present in this countdown, along with 'Like a Drug').
  18. To celebrate the biggest streaming year for Kylie I am holding this small countdown. I parsed the total streams for Kylie's songs on 1st January of last year and of this year, so we can see how the different Kylie tracks evolved during this year. Overall Kylie had an increase by 614 million streams of what I was tracking. Compared to 2 billion streams that she had a year before, the streams for Kylie on Spotify increased by a third! Rules for the countdown are as follows: 1. The streams were counted from 1st of January of 2023 till 31st of December of 2023. 2. The "chart rules" are applied, as in all of the remixes and different versions, including live versions, are combined into one. 3. However, for the mashups that give a different name to the song (i.e. Extension 'Can't Get Blue Monday out of My Head' and some live versions like 'Slow / Being Boiled') the streams are counted separately. Versions of songs in different languages count together. 4. Generally I didn't include the songs which are under 1 minute long (those are some intros and reprises from the live versions) 5. For the 'previous position' section I used the positions ranged by the amount of streams gained from August of 2020 till August of 2022, since I didn't have the data for the whole years before. I also don't have the data for the 2020 streams for a couple of songs (mainly her less known features), so for those the streams and therefore the chart positions were estimated. But nevertheless, this could give a good idea of the dynamics of the songs throughout the recent years. I am also willing to give some extra stats which I found interesting, so I hope this will be a nice read for you!
  19. I don’t know how reliable it is, but from SH Facebook here are these stats: Looks quite legit?
  20. I must say the Trance Wax remix of Hold On To Now is by far the best remix we have had during this era! Very wisely done and actually gets another angle on the song. Happy it got released!
  21. To be honest I’d say BMG were doing a very good job up until the album release? It’s after that we got a messy schedule for Hold On To Now physicals, Extension chart mess, premature releases etc. it feels like something has changed in BMG in around October and not to the better.
  22. Could be that Santa Baby is already given sales on ACR, while the 6k for Padam are on SCR.
  23. So the Extension streams are all counted to Tension? Well it makes sense, as the extended versions are tagged onto their respective main versions and therefore the album. But this makes the separate charting of Extension even more absurd!
  24. 10 out of 10 is still unavailable in Extension's Spotify album. I mean I bought the album off iTunes anyway and it's not many streams to be omitted from, but still!
  25. That’s like the least expected order I could see from streaming, but that’s Amazon music for you lol
