Happy for Shakira. She will join Elton, Kylie, Madonna and Britney in the “Didn’t think they would get another top 10” club this decade.

What a result for Madonna. The album is incredible, in my opinion there’s only been 3 albums that have felt like huge moments this decade when they were released, CONFESSIONS II, RENAISSANCE and BRAT.

Not to compare, but Kylie’s DISCO and Tension also did 29/30K in there first day and both cleared 50K end of week, so hopefully the same or better for Madonna.

I don’t know what I want from KM18. I love Impossible Princess, but it was a very different time in Kylie’s career and as we know very commercially unsuccessful, I don’t see Kylie taking huge risks at this stage, when she has built such a solid foundation as an album seller. I would like to see Kylie try something new, mainly work with new people, try new sounds. Get an executive producer and make a really cohesive album like Aphrodite. I love all her work with Biff, Duck, however I do think the well is starting to run dry. If there was an album sound I’d personally love Kylie to revisit it would be Body Language.

Agree with Magic’s placing, it’s always baffled me that Magic is one of Kylie’s most streamed songs on Spotify and continues to get decent recurrent streams.

If 2026 is the new normal for the charts then I don’t know what to think. It’s becoming more and more obvious there needs to be a separate chart for songs older than 3 years.

I completely forgot about “Can’t Stop Writing Songs About You” don’t think I’ve listened more than once, but it’s correctly ranked.

I was 1 when What Kind of Fool was released, so I don’t have any attachment to it and would never go out of my way to listen to it. I do feel though, if it was released in 1988 it would’ve been a huge hit for Kylie, it was just released 4 years too late. But i suppose Kylie could’ve released anything in 1988/89 and it would’ve been top 5.

Surprised we’ve not had any sort of Kylie article/sales update this week from the OCC. It’s like getting blood from a stone getting Kylie sales updates these days!

I had a great time at the Tension tour with a few glasses of Kylie rose down me, however in the stark light of day seeing the film, this really wasn’t her best work when it comes to touring.

Great to see 3 Kylie songs getting over 100K streams, she should have 20 performing at that level, but we’ll take what we can get 😆

Could Kylie fill stadiums outside of the UK/Australia? I have no doubt she could fill a few stadiums in the UK, as the demand for the Tension tour was huge, but I’m less sure about the rest of Europe.

Music Video’s are only available on Spotify premium, so if music videos are being streamed on Spotify/Apple Music it would always be at the 100 streams = 1 sale.

I remember being really embarrassed to buy Victoria’s album from Woolworths when I was 13, but I pushed through and got it. At the time I loved Midnight Fantasy and I Wish and thought Victoria was mad for not making them singles. So happy for this little Victoria renaissance, I’ve been listening to the album all week.

The Harry song doesn’t scream hit to me, I don’t see it being a long running #1 like As It Was.

It never ceases to amaze me how the British public/press will claim someone is #1 in the charts, because it’s #1 on iTunes.
