Nathan/Ella is #1 on the Summer Hits UK playlist, Big Energy is also high on Summer Hits, I think that’s how both are doing well without Hot Hits.

I would be surprised if Jesy rejoined. The main reason being - the majority of LM fans have turned on her and wouldn’t want her back in the group. It would really come down to if Leigh-Anne and Jesy could repair their relationship during the hiatus as the fans would want Leigh-Anne’s approval before Jesy could rejoin.

I kind of wish they hadn’t set a time frame, because people are already hyping up their comeback, before the hiatus has even started! Also, it just sets everyone up for disappointment.

I’m trying to reserve judgement until I’ve actually seen the tour myself, but I do agree something is off, I’ve only seen videos from the first night though, so could just be first night nerves. It just didn’t feel as cohesive or polished as I’m used to with Little Mix. Some of those outfits are a CHOICE!

It will be very strange having no commercially successful girlband in the UK charts, there has always been at least 1 on the go since the Spice Girls launched? It’s a very British thing that we love girlbands, the states doesn’t have the same appreciation for girl groups. I would guess the label’s aren’t actively searching for a girlband right now, as they know it would be an uphill struggle in 2022, as there are so many metrics to consider and get right. It probably will happen at some point maybe as the market changes again.

Katy’s career trajectory has been really similar to Christina Aguilera’s in some ways. 1st album: Both had an equally HUGE debut single, that seemed to launch their careers overnight. 2nd album: HUGE commercial success with their second albums. The peak of their careers. 3rd album: Maintained commercial success for their 3rd albums, however not able to repeat the success of their second efforts. 4th album A commercial flop for both and ridicule/criticism from the public. 5th album: Dead on arrival

The line up for the last 3 years has been pretty dire. They’ve booked Mabel for the last 4 years? Does she have nothing else to do. I don’t like Ed Sheeran or Coldplay, but I don’t know why they couldn’t be booked, if they’ll go on Jonathan Ross or Graham Norton. The endless D-List acts and collabs are getting boring.

I mean this is a Chart forum, so obviously there will be people on here who like CD’s. My point is casual listeners under 40 are no longer buying CD’s and the number will keep on declining. Even in HMV now CD’s are at the back and feel like an after thought, it’s all about vinyl now.

It must be an age thing, I don’t think anyone under 40 would be pleased to receive a CD for Christmas. Or even have anything to play the CD on. I’m 30 and the last time I got a CD for Christmas was 2010.

Why do people keep saying this :lol: I really don’t know who would give a CD as a gift now? It’s not 2004, even cars don’t have CD players now. The casual sale is dead and buried. CD’s are bought purely by fans and collectors (Adele being the slight exception) Vinyl is making a splash with the younger crowd, but it’s still a niche market at the moment.

I’m guessing Ghost by Justin Bieber hasn’t hit ACR and is looking at a new peak once this Christmas exodus starts?
