That’s really disappointing about Hot Hits, I thought they would have at least moved it up on ‘The Pop List’ but it’s #33! :lol: Maybe BMG were right to throw all the CD’s at it on the first week then, as this will (most likely) be its peak. BUT on the positive side, we are about to (hopefully) have a second top 20 Kylie single in 2023 today, who would’ve thought that! Bring on the album!

Not surprised it wasn’t added to Hot Hits Australia, it’s never appeared on the top 200 there. I wonder if there is anymore CD’s to be added tomorrow or if that’s them all.

I think it’s a bit early to declare it’s over for Tension. Let’s wait and see if it’s added to Hot Hits on Friday and how it responds to airplay first.

#188 on Spotify today (up 5) Tension is doing really well to stay in the top 200, considering the very modest playlisting, we just need it to hold on all week!

I’m greedy, I want Kylie to get another top 10 with Tension.

Yeah that’s disappointing. Padam obviously kept climbing throughout its first week and got added the following Friday, so if Tension doesn’t start climbing this week, we might not get an add at all.

Tension is #193 on Spotify today, clinging on to the top 200. Fingers crossed for Hot Hits when it updates today!

All the DISCO videos were bad in my opinion, A Second to Midnight was the best of a bad bunch. Padam and Tension aren’t classic Kylie videos, but they aren’t bad per se.

I’m really not sure, as album sales are currently even lower than 2020, however Kylie’s profile is the highest it’s been in years, she has actual hits again and if Claire Richards can do almost 10K, the sky really is the limit for Kylie.

Padam fell out of the top 200 on day 2 and reentered at #186 on day 3. I think it’s looking good for a Hot Hits UK add tomorrow.

Down to #145 on Spotify. This is a really good sign, that it’s not just dropped out on day 2!

It’s certainly a good sign, Tension is on Today’s Hits, which is the most important playlist for Apple Music, so that will really be helping, I don’t think we need to worry about Apple Music this time. Tensions Playlisting isn’t as good on Spotify, so I’m not expecting anything above #100 tomorrow for the debut on Spotify. Tension would need to hang around in the Spotify 200 Saturday and Sunday to be considered for a Hot Hits add on Monday.

Considering Tension has the best playlist advantage of any Kylie single launch ever (Good placing on NMF, Pop Rising, Top Hits on Apple Music etc), plus the hype of following Padam. Also the video and downloads at the start of the tracking week, I would be disappointed with anything less than top 30. Ideally I would like it to outpeak Padam’s week one at #26.

I don’t really understand your logic. A hit single = more traffic to an album, Padam being a hit has raised Kylie’s profile to its highest in years, another hit will just continue to help Kylie shift tickets for Vegas/Tension tour. Album “sales” are a thing of the past, sales will peak week 1. Tension is a great song and the original will be on the album anyway, a feature would just help attracting streams and campaign longevity, which is what BMG should be focussing on. Every other act on BMG (expect Kylie) spends 1 week on the album chart and is never heard of again, it’s not a great strategy to focus everything on week 1.

I hope they go all out for Tension (single) and get a big feature, since they didn’t do 1 for Padam.

Kylie looked incredible during the Body Language era, maybe the best she ever looked. I remember being so confused, she looked younger in 2004 than she did in 2000.

I can’t believe they didn’t release Vegas High to go with the announcement of Vegas or the tickets going on sale. Feels like a wasted opportunity. I feel like had a few instant grat tracks by this point in the Golden and Disco era’s, but I guess they really don’t want to distract from Padam. They better give us lots of singles and surprises post album, as we’ve really had a drought building up to the album release.

They have a performance series called ‘CURVED’, Mimi Webb and Rita Ora have performed at it for their album launches.

Padam Padam Tension Hold On to Now Hands *IF* this ends up being the singles run from Tension, then it’s her best run of singles since Fever. Green Light and Vegas High are good, but kind of throw away for me.

Padam has done it’s thing and performed way beyond any expectations. I’m ready for it to hit ACR and the next single be announced.

I’m not a huge Get Outta My Way fan either, but I LOVE Tension, I would say it’s Kylie’s best BMG single. (Obviously this may change over time, but currently I would say) 1. Tension 2. Padam Padam 3. Real Groove 4. A Second to Midnight 5. Say Something 6. Dancing
