  1. It is not bitchiness ..... it is friendly advice ..... she will no doubt be pleased for our advice and act on it oh and Ayda - cut the label out of your Primark scarf ;)
  2. it was ok ..... not particularly pleased with time (I never am) - my running partner had a knee injury and had to walk for a couple of miles in the middle ..... I couldn't run on and leave her, so i walked for a while ..... but taking that into account was a good time. and was a great day - such a fabulous atmosphere!!! I did ask the organisers to postpone the run because of the reunion but Brendan fosters said "f*** off" - how rude :o

  18. It is not necessarily the mother working that is the issue, rather the care for the child whilst she is working. Many mother's chose to work regardless of the needs of the child, leaving them here there and everywhere to be cared for. Small chidren particualrly need routine and security, yet over and over I see children who don't know who is picking them up from school, who don't know where they will be eating their tea that night. If a mother is working evenings and the child is at school all day - no matter how good the babysitter - when does the child get to spend time with their mother. Time when mum isn't too tired or stressed or worried about doing the ironing? Tho maybe I should replace mother with parent? I mean no one ever criticises father's for working to provide for their children? I, personally, feel that many mothers today work long hours desperate to provide mobile phones, designer clothes and all the lastest gagets they think their child "needs" when what the child needs more is security and time, routine and someone to make them feel safe. But then if you can't afford to support a child and are not prepared to give that child your time why have a child???
