it's ok. definitely not the best of 2008. the song Cheap & Cheerful is a complete rip off of the yeah yeah yeahs. which annoys me. i found the album kinda boring. definitely not "genius"

magazine is a great band, or at least the first two albums. though, the buzzcocks are definitely better overall. but i mean theyre different styles so its hard to even compare the two.

i've really been digging Beach House lately, but i dont think they'll get big, and theyve been around fr a little while i suppose. but they're new album is incredible! also love Celebration, and my fav band of 2008 is A Place To Bury Strangers. it's like Joy Division and The Jesus & Mary Chain f***ing!

HUGE fan of British Sea Power! going to see them in a month, cant wait. Ive been wanting to see them for years now. anyways, havent really listened to the new one a lot yet, been distracted by other things, but I didnt like it as much as the Krakenwhateveritscalled EP, from what I heard. but I definitely need to listen to it more, cause I cant imagine it not being great.

I LOVED this album! it took me until accidentally hearing this to give the Magnetic Fields a chance. I thought I had heard them before and disliked them, but I must have been thinking of a different band, cause "Distortion" and "i" are both great albums! thats all ive listened to at this point though.

ugh. just terrible. reminds me of the mini-pops. only less interesting. at least the mini-pops have that creepy kiddy-porn thing going for them. or had, i suppose. rainbows in the dark is better, but still not very good.

i just cant get into this band. there are things i like a lot about them, but things i HATE. mainly his voice drives me nuts. but what are you going to do? nothing.
