  2. Yep that's my thinking I don't think too many football songs will get into the charts maybe Baddiel and Skinner, Fat Les and New Order with the possibility of Dario G and whatever new ones.

I was going to actually mention Top of the Pops and/or CD:UK but didn't so I apologize. Another thing that kind of annoys me about reading this topic every week is how quite a lot of people get annoyed when something like Biffy Clyro is added but if anyone says anything bad against an artist such as, and this is just an example, Sophie Ellis Bextor people get really bitchy. I am sorry if this annoys people. Please don't hate me

Oh I totally agree that Radio 1 helps in most/all cases but it just seems to me, and admittedly it probably only me, that if enough people like the song they will be hits. I know that post didn't make any sense, and I am probably gonna start an argument on here but it just bugs me that Radio 1 is needed for a song to be a hit.

I don't understand why quite a lot of people on this forum aren't happy unless a female pop singer is on the playlist and deride the rest as crap. The playlist is supposed to represent everything in music. They will probably add Christina next week seeing as she is a big artist and anyway the chart position of Gabriella Cilmi proves that you don't have to have Radio 1 to have a successful chart position. ;). That's actually offended lots of people. So sorry if it has. I didn't mean any harm.
  6. I swear I have just heard Dappy mention his pager. Where are we 1998? :P

The Maximo Park situation was because Green Day's new album was released on the Friday so Maximo Park were number one until Green Day were released unlike Massive Attack that just had frontloaded fan sales.

According the BRIT Awards site Florence & Dizzee are releasing You Got the Dirtee Love next week on i-Tunes. Could go top 3. Sorry if this is the wrong place.
  20. According to Chart Stats Goldie has had 4 top 40 hits, Michael Barrymore had 1 top 40 hit as did Towers of London and Steps were obviously massive so Reggie's wrong

  22. The celebrity big brother answer is 14. I cheated slightly by going on wikipedia but I don't think Reggie will include Michael Barrymore. :P
