I've gone through this week's top 40 and save for a couple of artists I've categorised them into whether I think they will be successful in 5/10 years Yes Rihanna Black Eyed Peas David Guetta - Even if there aren't chart hits, I think he still will be producing Pink Usher Adele Eminem Nelly Will.I.Am No Matt Cardle Far East Movement Willow Smith - Will just be an annoying child actress instead Olly Murs Alexis Jordan Mike Posner Taio Cruz The Wanted N-Dubz Professor Green JLS Too Early to Tell Drake Katy B Jesse J Ellie Goulding Bruno Mars Nicki Minaj Eliza Doolittle - She could do well but I think her second album will do a Kate Nash/Duffy Maybe Katy Perry Cee-Lo Green - Even if he isn't making chart hits himself, he will probably be producing them Take That - Hmmm, I'm not sure they will still be making albums in 5/10 years time Cheryl Cole McFly Nicole Scherzinger - Similar to Cee-Lo, even if she isn't having chart success I think she will still be around in some capacity Tinie Tempah - Could be the next Dizzee Rascal Also one I haven't mentioned above is Lady GaGa but I really do think she'll have Madonna style success. Anyways I haven't mentioned the rock bands because barring them splitting up most of them will still be making records and having at least album success.
